Cracking day today at Cosford nice annual meet up with the lads and we even sat outside on the terrace supping tea n stuffing our faces. Took these home with me some nice little bargains one of which I'll be submitting as my £5 cosford kit(1/72 thunderbolt) for the group build. I hope to see you all at Telford cheers John View attachment 279274 View attachment 279277 View attachment 279276 View attachment 279275 View attachment 279273 View attachment 279272 View attachment 279271 View attachment 279270

One of the traders reduced his second hand kits by 40% in the last hour so I grabbed it for £12.The crazy thing is someone left two extra sets of different after market decals inside so I have about 5 marking options. Curvy women included;);)

Chuffin' Nora, talk about luck. Nice one.

Yet another cracking day! I did notice there didn't seem to be quite as many traders as usual. Maybe a good job though as me, Tony and Ian were still rummaging through boxes at 4:30. Any more traders and we'd probably still be there. But that's the secondary reason for going. Meeting up with my mates is MUCH more important.

Here's my haul (no big boxes though:():

That's for the 'Under a fiver' build.

Now I gotta sort out another storage rack .......

PS Ron - I nearly bought one of those 1/400 Clemenceau carriers you got. This one in a sealed box with an oil tender and escort ship. I didn't as it was priced at £34 but now I'm home I'm sort of having second thoughts remembering how sharp and clean yours looked ......

Incidentally, how far home were you when you realised you'd left your Spitfire kit with Tony? I so wanted to be a fly on the wall and see if I could learn some new swear words! I know there were some good bargains found today, but for me, a new 1/48 ICM Spitfire for £4.50 had to be the best buy of the day.

PPS I just noticed that ZBD 04 APC has only got one camo scheme and that's the digital one shown on the box. I can't see me ever getting good enough to do that. I'll have to see if there are other schemes.

Dave nice haul. Concerning the digital camo on the APC there are masks available and are reusable if used carefully. But there's always olive drab ;).
Cheers John

Thanks John. I'll have a look around for the mask.

Dave, how far from home was I?.......I was home!
I was actually sat in front of the computer doing my 'Cosford Report' when the awful truth dawned on me. - Even the dog rolled her eyes, so you can imagine what the present Mrs. Ron said!

Had my 'good angel' with me on Sunday (Daughter), so no mega spending of boxes for me, good job really, cause when my bad Angel (son) comes it gets a bit hard explaining how i won so many 'raffles' when i get home ;). So came away with some new MM sanding sticks, two packs of blades oh and Mengs 1/35 Leopard 2A4 for £20.00 so was happy with that.

It wasn't until I was on my way to work this morning when my own 'awful truth' arrived in my brain.

Ron, you told us you'd bought a couple of kits to show at one of the club tables. I guess it must have been all the excitement, but I never thought to ask you to show us where! Most embarrassing to let down a mate like that! Did any of the others ask and get to see them?

I would have loved to see more of your builds 'in the flesh' as it were.

Well yes, it was a great day a good to see everyone again. Now I wasn't there to stock up on kits, but did buy something for the 'Cosford £5.00 build'

A step into the dark side for me, I bought a tank. This is apparently a Chinese copy of a Hasegawa kit, so it's sort of ok.

But just in case I couldn't make the leap into armour world, a back up £5.00 kit was purchased. This kit was released in 1967, making it 50 years old this year. Should I build it or frame it ??
View attachment 279321

Like I said, 50 years old, the original price is still on the box.

And finally, this. A piece of very important 'stuff'
