The Revell/ICM Mig- 25RBT was an enjoyable build, I used a little filler, on the nose/fuselage joint, but otherwise the fit was good, to excellent. The mouldings are crisp, and free of flash. Construction was reasonably easy, and I would suggest you follow the instruction sequence, I didn't, and made more work for myself ( leaving the undercarriage off until late on was a mistake ). If you can pick one up for a good price ( I paid <£25 for mine ), I would really recommend it.
One thing about this model is the size!, it's just about 75mm too long for my existing workspace, I'm surprised I didn't knock off more parts. If I am going to make another model of this size, I'll have to reorganise the bench to make more space.
I will shortly be starting construction of the ICM 1/35 Krupp Truck for the wheeled army vehicle GB, thanks for looking in.
Dave

Nice 'bat, I love it :) Although I've got a MiG-25 in my collection already, I'd still like to build one from ICM - be it the RB or the RBT. It is said to be a nice kit with very few issues, probably miles better than the KittyHawk MiG-25.

Hi Dave
A very nice result indeed. Even a good kit like this needs skill and patience to get the best from it. You have done it proud.

Liked the build thread, really like the build. Very nice work Dave.

Marius,
ICM also do the Mig-25PD, the interceptor version in 1/48, and now, perhaps in a more manageable scale, are doing the Mig-25 in 1/72................... I've looked at the sprues on the ICM website, and it just looks like the 1/48 scaled down - same parts breakdown

Excellent build Dave, I really like the weathering. It looks like it has far fewer decals than a USAF or RAF jet as well.

Bob,
I have to admit, I didn't use all the stencil decals, some were too small & tedious to apply!. It's long been a feature of Russian jets that they don't carry a lot of markings, just the national insignia, and a bort ( nose ) number. I assume this is a security thing, so enemies can't identify particular units - unlike western jets, where the unit, pilot's name, and even the crew chief are helpfully displayed!

Sweet! Definitely worth checking out :)

Terrific build Dave. Like the upside down shot. One Tom Cruise would be impressed with:smiling3:

Very nice. A great look you've achieved there.
