Ok peeps as I am coming to the end of the SIG build I am now looking at what kit to do next. I have two in my stash that I fancy having a go at these are:

A Revell 1/48 Convair F-102 Delta Dagger wich when built will measure in the region of 17"

Or the Zhengdefu 1/48 General Dynamics F-111E Bomber this will come out at around 18"

I shall leave it up to you guys to choose for me what ever gets the most nods is the one I will do

Cheers Terry

I built one a long time ago, and that's when I learned something about the F111 that I was ignorant of. Namely, it has no ejector seats. The entire cockpit assembly itself jettisons like an escape pod, and the parachutes are deployed from underneath, if I remember correctly. I glued the whole thing in place before I realized my mistake. If I'd been thinking about it, I would have explored some more creative options.

Yes, it is a crew escape module.

I think its rated to withstand impact damage up to around 30Gs -- would still feel like you were trampled by racehorses...

I like the sound of he the dagger but just can't go past the mighty PIG. I have built the academy version which is horrible in places. Looking at getting the hobby boss version that has some nice detail. Can honestly say that I have never heard of the company that made this one though. My father was an air frame fitter on the F-111C 's in the RAAF. Sadly the last pig left Amberly earlier this year. For those that have seen it a dump and burn is an awesome sight. Either way you go i'm sure you will do a great job.

I'd do the F111 I've never been a fan of American military hard wear but for some reason I've always liked this one

F111 definitely, maybe with the new dio category you could do a 'Dump & Burn' Now that would start a debate! :)

As I know nowt about flying things and their versions and all that, I had to t'intergoogle these and after a few seconds inspecting the two .....

I choose the F111 jobbie coz it looks the business ....and its called an aardvark which is such a crazy cool creature.

I choose the F111 too. The pig is an awesome machine.
Joe I agree having seen a deployment of them at Fairford some years ago. Being stood on to of a van hoping to get some decent shots and only ending up being vibrated down the lenght of the van roof on wich I was stood with a couple of friends. There were two lined up and waiting for the clear I swear they sat with the breaks on and the afterburners going for a laugh. The noise and vibration were something else.

Well I would have said the dagger, but then I googled the pig and found a rather nice one. Then I thought you have some black and yellow paint already...
