That is awesome Mike. You would never think that this is the same kit in the sprue shots my hat goes off to you

Nothing like a garage manufacturer to really test your metal.

A test that you passed with flying colours Mike.

What a great result.

I actually read the article only last night and I had to admit it really did seem like it was making a silk purse out of a sows ear. A fantastic build out of a very basic quality kit but at the end of the day, as with all the lower volume kits, you end up with a very rare model. Beautiful job.

wow that from these shots,

both Ian and Ian have summed it up , ;)

would not think it was the same kit,so very welll done, great build, :D

Didn't think it was possible magic in plastic but looking at the kit sprue shots I have now seen it with my own eyes you are a true magician mike.I have battled with some horrible kits in the past and although I feel I turned them into something half decent I have or never will reach this standard of yours. time to hang up my sprue cutters I feel...........argghhhhh only kidding I will keep fighting the good fight and continue to drool of your builds in AMW well done Mike you are an inspiration to myself and many others keep them coming

A rose garden from a mound of weeds. Awesome work Mike, this looks superb. Another testament to your skill and patience.

That was some nasty looking raw material to work with Mike. As usual you pulled it off! Very nicely done Sir!

Superb skills Mike and a fantastic looking model of a very interesting subject. I have been tempted by these F-Rsin kits in the past (comet 4 ) so its good to see whats lurking in the box ! I usually relish the challenge of a limited run kit , the satisfaction you get from turning something like this into a decent build is great , you deserve a medal for beating this one though! never has a great build gong been more deserving! cheers tony

Gosh, that sprues look awful, but the result is just AMAZING!!!!! How is that even possible :eek:

One of the best modelers on this site, without a doubt a masterclass in how to turn a kit I would bin into an amazing model! Beautiful build Mike.

Si:)

Beautiful job of an unusual subject. When I opened the thread I was expecting to see the new Airbus A380 Dreamliner, so I had a pleasant surprise.

Im speechless. Such a small scale and all that imperfection , you made it look flawless. That takes true talent. Great build is a understatement.

Mike, you're a pain in the neck! I was just thinking I've got an excuse for my Revell Spitfire not looking too good because the original kit wasn't great, then you go and produce something like this from such a dreadful kit. It's just brilliant. It would be brilliant even if I didn't know where you started from. We need something more than 'great build' to give this kind of work (not really, mods, but you see what I'm getting at).
