Looking good Garry. I haven't been brave enough to do a biplane yet myself, they just look too fiddly lol

They are and a tip is to ignore the order and basically finish the lower wing first, paint, decals, the lot and also the fuselage. Also paint and fit any bits and pieces to the upper wing seperately as well as once attached its hard, really hard. Masking up otherwise once the top wing is in place is just too difficult. I managed it but re thought the process for next time. Problem was so many small parts that would be impossible to mask but a bit of creative camo is whats needed.

Nice job Gary. A WW1 night fighter - no real nav aids or anything to help you land, that must have been quite a scary job, even worse than flying one in the day !

When I've built WW1 kits, I've practically painted and decaled all the bits, before putting it together, just leaving the rigging to do.

I agree Colin. Next time I'll paint and decal most of the plane before fitting the upper wing. I've just rigged the SE.5 with 0.2 mm silver wire. Not gone overboard with the rigging as I was knocking bits off but I've done enough so that it looks effective
