Found this on my travels......not sure where to start? Does Eduard do a PE kit for it? To weather or not to weather....? And as to what section it'd go in...........

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dyson-Ball-DC25-1-7-scale-Model-Kit-/171243675132?pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item27deeb1dfc

Cheers, Neil

Well some one bought it.

Put it in the "other models" section Neil. LOL

Apparently that kit sucks.
Groan...

They do the DC26 1/7 model and that is £40 from Japan + P&P...so just like a real Dyson even the models are expensive. Why the hell would anybody want a 1/7 scale vac? I mean 1/12 for a dolls house yes...but 1/7? Maybe it is directed towards women modellers...maybe there is a 1/7 scale cooker, iron etc. :D

This will be an easy kit to do Neil, If it's anything like the one I have at home just pose it in a corner with dust on it never used

lol, i saw that a few hours ago, the weathering could be interesting..............wonder if MiG do 'carpet dust and cat hair'?

perhaps cos its not a serious model?.......more of a marketing tool?, not meant for resale?

I suspect that this was, as suggested, a retail prop for sales support purposes. Obviously never meant for retail sale but now interesting to wonder just who would buy such an item.

It makes you think though, I mean why would someone want to build a plastic model of a steam engine?.....or Anne Bolyne?......or a Star Trek communicator? I guess becaue they can!!

After all ,thats how Nicholas Kove started out on Airfixs model line , with the Ferguson tractor pre built kit meant for promotional give aways. It proved so popular with Fergusons customers that the decision was made to offer it for sale in kit form ,and the rest is history>> tony

This is obviously one for the ladies sorry did I say that out loud ,

Seriously though I have seen toys of this sort of thing so I would think a model kit is the next thing in the evolution

Well, that would have made an interesting group build :) Vacuum cleaners, brooms, dust pans and floor buffers.

A bit off topic but I have a fishing buddy that bought a 1/4 size bivvy, made as a shop display item, for his dog.

Looks rather funny when he is out fishing. Him in the full size version and the dog in his own bivvy, identical in every way, right down to being made of the same materials!
