Thank you for accepting us and great to see so many from MM taking the leap too.:thumb2:
To the established members: don’t worry this isn’t a takeover, just a bunch of modelers trying to keep in touch and hopefully we can add to your very nice forum.:smiling:

Indeed Ian, SMF is The New Colossus.
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

In you come lads and lasses.

Thank you for the welcome. As you can see we ex MM were a close knit group, and I'm sure we will all fit it here. Once I have worked out the system I'm looking fwd to posting
John.

Many thanks for the welcome, we ex pats are a friendly bunch, one or two really strange ones but that's years of glue fumes for you :smiling3:

Yet another MM homeless refugee, I see several of the squad here already. My modelling taste is varied, but tends to the less popular, and the budget end! ( I am a Yorkshireman, after all! ). I hope to start contributing to the posts, as soon as I suss the site out

Well I managed the avatar, but will probably change it again when I am on my main PC, right now though, think of me as a modelling egret....
My interests are as follows....I’ve tried most types of modelling, big figures, small figures, armour, aircraft, railways, cars, so a tend to flit around a bit.....currently doing 28mm Ansars by Perry’s.
I’ll post some images later on...
Cheers
Tim

Hi all ex MilMod members.
After the shock yesterday we do seem to have found a great new home. Friendly, welcoming and some superb modellers. I for one feel much better than I did.
As you know MilMod folded because not enough magazines were sold to fund the site - so both became unsustainable. This forum seems to be allied with the Scale Model Shop. I have had a look at the shop - looks good. So it may be prudent to give the Scale Model Shop our custom where possible. In the long run we will all benefit.
Jim

Ditto here to what Jimbo said.....Thank you for accepting us as poor refugees and we hope not to disappoint...........Remember the film "Mars Attacks" anybody????
Allen

I have plenty of Tammy Winnet records at hand if things get too lairy!

Yes indeed, a warm welcome to all.

Just a gentle plug for 'Our Shop'. This is run by the owner of Scale - Models, our hero, John.

Some of you could well have done business with him. He has a most excellent reputation for prompt deliveries and general service.......If he can't get you that elusive kit, I doubt anyone can!

So please try and support him, and keep in mind this wonderful Forum is free to join.

Here Endeth the Lesson - please put cash, no cheques in the tray on the way out.

Thank you.
