Felting bust

Looks interesting, is that some sort of static-felting machine in the background or how does it work? Cheers

Like Steven I find that interesting. Looks good but you'll have to explain a bit more about how you did it :)

The process of felting is done with wool and various needles that are used to press the wool into shape. Once an underlying shape is formed you simply use the needles to press the coloured wools into the basic form. Its not quite one thread ata time but nearly. If you can imagine sculpting with wool by compressing it into shape . It sounds complicated but it is quite a simple , but long winded process. The surround is just a simple frame the piece is actually fabricated on a base of sponge or similar substance which is removed when completyed.

That's great! I've done a bit of felting myself - I find it very therapeutic, until you spike a finger or two. That's a lovely job.

Hello John,
Fine work as usual from a highly talented artist. I have seen this only once before, I was watching a Japanese girl creating incredibly lifelike cats on a YouTube channel using I believe this same technique. Great job sir.
