I'm calling this one finished

For the breastplate I usedsome quite old Humbrol polished steel, not perfect so I may revisit it after Christmas.

Peter

Very nice job I think this is one of your best. I agree that the armour might benefit from a little shinier finish.

Hi Peter
Just been reading you and Steve's thoughts on drying oils more quickly. I made a drying box and it seems to work OK. I can't remember where the idea came from but I picked it up from the old forum. I think it may have been Carl Startin.
It is one of those plastic storage boxes. Holes drilled it the lid to allow air to circulate (the black tape is where I pressed too hard and cracked the lid!). I put a sheet of thin ply wood in the base because the bottom of the box had ridges. The bulb is a small 40w. I think the oils dry quicker because of the light as well as the warmth. The bulb is in a corner so I can adjust the distance of the model from the bulb.
