Yes, I did. Well the Spitfire simulator at the Manston Spitfire museum anyway.

The instruments were not working so I could not see my air-speed, the artificial horizon or altitude and I did not really know what I was doing but, hey it’s the nearest I will get to it.

My missus took some pics of me in the cockpit.

Lots of concentration going on there Barry. Did they spray you with a hose for realism when you ditched?

I thoroughly recommend it if you are down this way.

It did take a lot of concentration specially without the instruments not working..... After I finished they spent some time trying to solve the problem. It was a great experience.

My respect for the young lads who flew these machines in combat was even greater after that.

Looks like quite an experience Barry and four kills is not bad for a first timer. :smiling3:
