That's not good. Did you get his registration Chris?
Pete

Hi Chris
What a s**t thing to happen. At least you and Jen are ok. As Pete says hopefully you have his reg no. Personally I'd report my concerns to the police.
Jim

I would have blocked his exit and called the law, pound to a pinch he was uninsured.

hi scottie yes a chap did block his exit but if no ones hurt then the cops around here dont want to know as my boaty m8 richard found out he had an ilegall imgrint with no insur or driv lic hit his brand new car an yes he got his car repaid but it came off his own insurance as richard shew me a letter saying police are takin no action now if that dont take the biscut well

Something similar happened to me a few years back some old side swiped one of my cars with such force it pushed the petrol cap in under the bodywork but the thing was it was 10am bright weather and a clear wide road but still didn't stop luckily some nice work men saw what happened and followed the chap home turns out he was in his 90s still no excuse to drive off.

It's against the law not to provide details after an accident. Quite how this works when someone is not insured ? Let's hope your chap is insured.

That's terrible Chris. Good thing you and Jen are okay. Over here it's compulsory to have insurance coverage or you can't renew your road tax. As long as you know you're on the right of the law, a police report will be entertained and followed through. I always chuckle when the traffic police officer takes out his toy cars from the drawer to help demonstrate the accident when investigating my report. We pay quite a hefty insurance so I don't want to lose my NCB.

Cheers,
Richard

SAME Here Richard but i pay for prection on my 70 % NCB but i told that git i dont want my insurance involved as it says on my inurance even if its not your fault you will have to pay a bigger preium next year when reknewing an i told them its not fair to hit me if not my fault but i dint get no answer to that

I`m very sorry to hear this Chris,
Obviously you know my ,(and obviously Rach`s),thoughts are with you both :thumb2: )
I`m not a Religious person myself.... however,i DO have faith in the power of the mind!!
All the best to you both,
Andy,(and of course Rachel!!)

That's bad luck Chris, thank goodness you and Jen are ok .
Good thing that the other guy blocked the idiot in like that .
Easy to say after what should have been done but your in a state of shock when that happens you can't think clearly.
Hope that he did have insurance and your insurance company stands by you .

Aw, that's horrible mate. Flad to hear you're both OK, but still a rubbish thing to happen. Worth looking at a claim with your insurer if you'tr fully comp. A lot of companies now will pay out for uninsured driver loss. If not you can go through the Motor Insurer's Bereau here - MIB who run a scheme for uninsured loss. Hope you get it sorted OK mate.

Chris, as per my pm. A idiot side swiped my first Guilia while it was empty outside my house, so not my fault. He stopped so got details, my insurance dealt with it, no cost to me, no change in my no claims and no rise in premiums?

HI John well my insurance company is a good one an always paid up as ive been with them for over 40 yrs an im fully comp an i pay protected but on my certificte in the last couple of yrs ive noticed it says if you are involed in an accident they now say they will find me at fault as well which is not fair but i will be hit in my premium when i come to renew nxt yr an lose one of my three lives on my NCB so thats why i dont want my insurance company involed in such a silly prang
