Hi all, back but not for long. At home we've had a BIG problem as you can see from the photo, this is why i've not been on and not doing any modelling. I've got a Panther G in bits and the Normandy build on the bench and can't get in to it because of all the stuff in the way.

'Bad news'

Over the christmas holidays we had a flood outside, the same night i was listening to a noise that was behind a wall unit and thought it was the neighbours so never bothered looking, we moved the unit a few weeks back and seen "the crack".

'Good News'

We're having it fix but the modem is too close to the work being done so no net, i have a new mobile phone, it's a smartphone that has the interweb but i'm not that smart. I've got it to log on to here and i can have a look around until i come to post, i have small buttons and fat fingers lol.

I just had to plug the modem in and have five minutes, i'm missing my modelling and missing me mates on here.

You're having some rotten luck just lately mate.

All I can do is wish you and your's well and I hope the work soon gets done and you can return to some sort of normality.....

Thats a crack and a half John, did the house start to subside? Hope you get it all sorted soon.

It's always very difficult when you get get to any modelling which you need to do to help you get through the stress that things like this cause!!

You have our sympathies and can only hope that you get back to your desk soon.

Thanks all, the great news is (for the wife) she'll have the decorating done. If the new plaster cracks again then the house needs underpinning, which the old paving slabs will go and i can have a new concrete patio. See, things are looking up lol.

Hi john, glad to hear youre ok and still looking in on us, not so glad to hear about your house troubles. Maybe we could all donate a bit of filler,im sure we could get rid of the crack, after all , the guys who have just done the revell spitfire mk24's have just tackled worse!!!! LOL Think of it this way though mate, if you have to have the house underpinned and a new concrete patio,itll make a great base for a new shed / dad cave !!!! Keep your chin up bud , were all thinking of you , and TRY and have fun!, cheers tony

unlucky john but don't worry before you know it it will be all fixed and you'll be back on your feet, i've had all my kits boxed up for 2 months as we have just moved house however now that my shed is up i have un packed and it is heaven. I actually did some painting yesterday, so don't worry iam sure you will set too with renewed vigour.

Things are looking up, Wendy popped out so i went upstairs moving things about to get back to normal. She came back and found all the stuff from out of my work room had been put in our daughter's bedroom well, she's not going to need it, she's at university :grinball1:.

The 1/16 Panther still works but i'm not happy with my Normandy build, it just doesn't look right. Soooooooo i'm back at the bench with a cuppa and the Panther ho, and a can of red oxide primer. And if the wife see's the primer she'll kill me (no spray painting upstairs), i use vallejo 1. because it's great to work with and 2. it smell nice and that keep SWMBO happy. The postie's just been too with a big box full of nice things, M1 Abrams and a lot of other things to go with it or on it lol.

I love the smell of glue in the morning, have fun, John

PS, and can now keep the modem plugged in, workmen are nowhere near it :computer:

We had a similar place with a crack that was about 8 foot long in one of the bedrooms,subsidance and other things can cause these type of things,as long as it settles and does not get any larger then houses can stay like that for years,sometimes it can be any house in a row that starts the crack in the first place.
