Graeme's Panzer IV, Simon's memorial build.

Coming along very nicely Graeme,
Despite all the pitfalls your perseverance is knocking it into shape :thumb2: ,the etch stuff certainly makes a big improvement too!
Good stuff coming from a troublesome kit Sir!!
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for the encouragement guys, There are times it's definitely needed!
Jakko, I'll have to look at that, the pictures I've seen show them more central than the kit, your picture looks less offset than Italeri put them.

Odd. Maybe different factories or production batches had different locations? Probably your best bet, then, is to find a photo of a tank as similar as possible to what you want to build — or, of course, just to pick one option and run with it :)

They do seem to vary a bit, but your photo is the first I've see head on to the tank, so I may just go with that. It is possible that Hans the driller had a couple of beers with his lunch......:dizzy:

Fernando, it does make a difference to the look of the turret, thanks.
Trying to keep up the work Steve, but life keeps getting in the way! cheers!
That said, managed to do some of the smaller bits done, seems to be getting to that point where it's the small, fiddly & barely noticeable bits that need doing!

Just had a catch up Graham. You are putting some real class into this build and lifting it up several levels. Well done.

That`s looking very nice there Graeme :thumb2: ,
As you say, those little,un noticed bits HAVE to be done..... they only get "noticed" when they ain`t there!!:flushed:;),
Excellent work Sir,and great determination!!

Thanks Tim & Andy, the little fiddly bits do have to be done, as I keep telling myself when I'm trying to find the microscopic piece of etch on the carpet!
Work continues with more small, fiddly bits, pictures to follow.

Some more slow progress with the small details & etch, pictures show it best.

Hi Graeme
All the little improvements take a lot of time but as John says "worth the effort"
Jim

Hi Graeme,
These tiny bits always slow me down....seem never ending sometimes, but can really improve the overall look.
Keep it coming :thumb2:

John, Jim & Si, thanks for the encouragement, as you say, the little details make the difference but take up most of the time!
A few more of the small details have been done, but are barely noticeable!

Thanks Steve, plenty more to do yet!
More small, fiddly bits done, more searching for small pieces of etch on the carpet....
A picture shows the added parts, the tools have been cleaned up & the moulded clamps removed ready for the etch parts. Slight modifications to the jack have been needed, the kit part was missing the lug for jacking the vehicle.
