Greetings!

Me? No Sadly.

My uncle growing up used to call them that and it stuck. He was in the Green Jackets in the 70's/80's. I've also worked with a few ex-Army guys over the years that called them the same - and very nice they are too!
I forgive you mate (Joking) - the Jackets were a definite asset at your back! Another piece of military tradition sold down the river by the 'powers that be'! I've had some happy times on the piss with them. Sadly their barracks and spiritual home is now a yuppy enclave ... Respect to your uncle
Steve

Hi Darian and welcome, Hope to nudge you over to Dioramas and it usually starts with figures...do you add pilots to your planes?

British military slang for a fried egg sandwich..... Used in all three branches

The mud munchers also have an 'almost egg banjo' which is a hard boiled egg sandwich, since they have boiling vessels in their tanks and armoured vehicles

Can't beat them,
So that's where that came from. The Ramly Burger stalls in Malaysia lists it in their menu. Always wondered where the name came from. Quite similar to the McD's breakfast egg muffins but smothered in sauce.

Cheers,
Richard aka Wabble

Egg sarnie in left hand.... Take a bite and runny yolk drips down your shirt...... Extend arm outwards so drip dosn't continue..... Use right hand to flick away at runny yolk...... Looks like you are playing a banjo :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 🪕
