I've sprayed the wing tips and fuselage band with Xtracolour RLM 04 'Gelb'.Then I masked them and sprayed the undersides Xtracolour RLM65.Not happy with the preshading so will put another coat on later.

I've just masked the undersides and sprayed on the first coat of RLM70 (Humbrol enamel no.242)

Interesting... I am now encouraged even more to try out my Humbrol RLM colours.

Looking great Dave ! The preshade did'nt look bad, but I know the feeling if it does'nt meet with what you're hoping for. I still struggle with doing preshading but it does get easier the more you do it. Looking forward to the next update, keep up the great work cheers Trey

I gave the model a couple of coats of RLM70 (Humbrol 242) a few weeks ago.And over the last two evenings I've masked the camouflage pattern with Tamiya tape.Tonight I've put a coat of RLM 71 (Humbrol 241) on.

That'll look great when the tape comes off Dave.
I hope so.Humbrols versions of the two colours seem very similar. So I hope the splinter pattern shows up.

That does look good Dave. You will be surprised by the difference when the masking comes off

Interested to see the shades too when the tape is removed. Nice work Dave.

I've removed all the masking tape and am pleased with the way it's turned out.Next step is a couple of coats of gloss clear coat followed by the decals.

i like the nice softness of the patten, between the 2 colors, i know it has sharp line ,but think you know what i mean,

well done

That's looking good Dave. With the gloss clear coat is it the Humbrol one if so do you dilute it? If you do what ratios do you do?

I have a build I am doing at the moment and want to use some on it. Having never airbrushed with it I was wondering how best to go about it.

Nice splinter camouflage work Dave, those colours seem to have come out okay. I recently bought some Humbrol glosscote too and like Terry would be interested to know the spraying ratios if you used it.
