I built one of these in standard 71/70 splinter and have wanted to do another with the older 1930's scheme. I found a decent deal on evil bay and snatched it up. The Amtech re box with added resin and landing gear options is a great leap up from the original Italeri offering but it still needs tweaking. I rescribed a great bit of the panel lines on the fuse but left the wings alone. Ugly gaps at the bottom wing / fuse join need to be filled but the fit of the rest is decent. The cabanes are very delicate and I broke them several times during the build but was able to fix them in the end. The decals behaved nicely after a dose of Solvaset. Finished with Model Master Enamels and top coated with Testors Dullcote. Hope you enjoy the pics ,cheers Trey

Very nicely done. Clean build and great paintwork. Not familiar with the type but it looks very good to me.

Nice work Trey

You seem to be really cranking out kits at the moment and the quality remains constant - very high.

Great work

Paul

Beautiful work trey ! Mucho kudos for getting the very tricky seam round the cowling sorted!!! I had one if these in the stash once (italeri version) but sold it because the thought of fixing that seam was too much !!! Looks excellent in the early camo too , cheers tony

stunning build Trey, real like the colors you used, and a very nice clean build, great work, ;)

Ian, Paul, Vaughan, Graham thank you for the kind words.

Paul thanks ,been getting into doing several builds at once saves on airbrush time;) glad you like.

Tony thanks for noticing the cowl seam, that was a long tedious night of pin files ,sand paper and tall Pints for sure, then I find one in resin on evil bay:rolleyes: oh well why spend $20 on a cowl for a kit that cost less than that;)

Ralph, Monica Doug thank you as well much appreciated!

Wow, I like that Trey. Awesome job on the pre-war splinter scheme, can't have been easy.

This is a nice clean build as always from you Trey, love that splinter camo!
