Hi Jim, what a great build you have going on here. Really like what you are displaying. The camouflage paint turned out nicely! Keep up the good work

Cheers

HI Jim just caught up on this build an as the guys say its an amazeing build. As bein so small im glad I build bigger models but a question if I may with such small parts
don't you ever get the shakes tryin to fit the parts ? As I know I would an you must have a very steady hand control an yes the paint scheme I think is spot on

Hi all
I appreciate all your positive comments and apologise for my tardy response. I have been making progress but it is slow and some of the work is so intricate that I am at the limit of what I can manage - eyesight, patience and hand shakes :rolling:
Cleaned up and mounted for painting the Carley floats and the crates.

Made the PE crane for hoisting the float plane on board.

Resin cast of two freighters which will be off loading supplies. Primed with Stynylrez.
P1050776.JPG

Primed up a load of little bits including all the ships boats.

Two accommodation ladders made. Incredibly fiddly. They are far from perfect but I know I am not capable of better so they'll do.

Everything is mounted onto coffee stirrers so you get some idea of the size of the bits in these 1/700 scale boats. Ralph knows all about it!! :tongue-out3:

Thanks guys for your posts :thumb2:

Goodness Gracious Jim, this is incredible! I've just caught up with this and I am astonished!
We are very lucky these days with modern cameras and phones to capture this stuff so well. It really only sunk in how small this is when you showed the scalpel blade for comparison.
Hats off to you sir!
Top job on the camouflage, too
can't wait to see it finished

They look pretty good Jim:thumb2: as all the other bits that you've worked on do!

I'll be looking at a real accommodation ladder this afternoon:smiling2:

Very nice work Jim :smiling3:.
Don't I just know how small these parts are:flushed:.

Wow Jim, I'm glad I've got a big screen to view them on. Miniature madness but so well executed.

Jim

A big bravo I think the ladders look terrific and I am sure the rest of the build will too.

That's some amazing tiny work Jim, it looks very nice and also difficult to handle...

Cheers Steven

Morning Jim,
Blimey that really is some micro modelling! Makes me sweat just thinking about dealing with that photo etch:surprised:

Amazing skills, eyesight, patience, dedication and a steady hand, all wrapped up in one word - JIM!

What an evolution you've gone through with this hobby. Amazing update Jim, really love those tiny bits and bobs, this will give this model really a great boost!

A terrific response from the guys for your latest update. This is turning into a real gem. Take your time my friend as quality is well worth waiting for
