Anyone who wants to, posts just 1 picture, and one only, of a favourite build they have completed.

No votes or prizes, just for fun.

Just a title. No other comments from the model maker.

Perhaps starting a week before Christmas?

Then anyone looking in can see what a talented bunch you are!

One for the mods to chew over perhaps........

Cheers,

Ron

No takers?
Humbug, I'm going to ban Christmas instead then!
Oi, Scrouge, look, you've got 3 likes. See, the idea is sinking in.

You know I like the idea Ron....

I always looking for similar things :P

I'm in ;)

Cracking idea Ron, looking forward to seeing some great builds, going to be fun;)

Maybe forum members who've been here a while could pick an old one. Something to show newer members & perhaps to remind themselves of how they've improved? ;)

I'll try and pick one...might even be an old one :)

Is the idea that, nearer the time, we post in a new thread or would there be a thread for us all to post in? Sorry if I'm being a bit thick!

Cheers

I would suggest a single thread for those who would like to take part and post a single picture of their work - no matter how far back in time on S.M.

Perhaps along the lines of.....'Member's Favourite Own Build Picture - 2015'

Apart from the one picture only rule, can I also suggest that the picture must not be messed with - i.e. photoshop etc.? and must be 'as is'.

Over to the mods......

We will open a thread!!

How's 20th december??

As Ron said, only one photo. Not story...just a good picture that speaks by himself ;)

Like the idea hopefully I can remember my first photobucket account plenty off me old stuff in there

I'm in ( just 1 pic ) no title on what it is? ie Spitfire Mk9 for instance ( ok I'm being thick here, I'll go stand in the corner!!!

I'm afraid I gave up on Christmas quizzes due to a complete lack of support and too many stupid replies, I think members have so much on at the time, or maybe they don't want to be bothered with such things.

I'm not sure the Mods need to be involved anyway as anyone could start such a themed thread, perhaps with some guidelines up front, to see how it goes and how much response it generates. For me the real value in such a thread would be picking a model that had particular significance in thier life and a brief paragraph explaining why. My own would probably be a model I built as a teenager, which looks pretty awful now, but which had huge significance for me.

The last time we tried a picture thread it seemed to come with too many 'rules' which I think put many members off so I think the creation of suitable guidelines would be critical to the success with a suitable degree of flexibility.
