Thats a hefty bit of kit! My poor little Tilly is going to be lost amongst all these monsters! :)

And its going to be a lot easier for you to find a place for the Tilly!

Looking good Ian. It seems we both have had more than our fair share of fettling with our respective builds.I too have knocked off fiddly bits on my unimog truck. Luckily the old carpet has not claimed any...yet!

I hope you still have the work light to refix.

Cheers,

Ron
Jep! its laying in the storage bin on the top of the lorry. Thats how I discovered it had been knocked off, I saw it in the photos!!! LOL

Hi Ian

This build looks to be coming along fine. I'm liking the paint work and detail - very well done. This is going to be one impressive model when finished!

All the best

I seam to have lost my Blue tooth dongle, so I can not put pictures up until I find it!!! Sorry about that!

Any how. Been using a few hours here and there putting some of the fiddly bits on. Normally I would do that part after paint, however there are so many of them I stand a real good chance of buggering up the paint with all the bits that go every where!!!

Made some cables out of copper wire for the winches and they look rather good.

Its now green buy the way! Once I have got to grips with the new airbrush, I will give the cammo a bash!!! The question is will I get used to the airbrush enough to do the cammo free hand. Its going to be a bugger to mask!

Some parts will have to go on after final paint as they are well and truly in the way. Spare tyres and holders being one of the worse culprits!

Oh! After pain its half a mile of wire and tube for all the hydraulic plumbing and wiring!

Found the blue tooth dongle. Isn't it just amazing what a cat can find to drag off to their hiding places. Found all the missing socks as well!!!

Any way:

As I said before its green. There are still a few bits to go on yet but they will have to wait until the camo is on.

Well I also said that if I got to grips with the new Airbrush, I would get the cammo down.

I almost worked too!

Spent most the day yesterday putting wires and hoses and cables down. A few places are going to need touching up. I also got a few of the other bits of PE down, they too will need a dab of paint.

Tonight it's getting some clear varnish and left to harden. Then is decals and weathering. All the photos I have seen of these are quite clean, just a bit of mud and dust. The funny thing is that there is very little signs on them of having have tanks dragged up on the trailer. It must be darn good paint the use these days!

Still make my job easier don't it!

Ian M

That looks really nice and to my eye the camo looks absolutely spot on. This really is going to be a treat!

Thanks chaps.

I have absolutely no place to keep it! I have in mind to build a shelf above the work desk and put a cover over it.

At the moment it's all shiny and sitting under cover to dry. Tomorrow it gets dirty(ish).

Ian mate most impressive indeed, lovely paint job is there a diorama in mind for this?

It Might get a printed block paving and a wall behind it, or a country view but a dio? No. To big.

Well I settled for a simple base in the end. It just made moving it around that much easier!

I am calling it done, so I will finish off here and say thanks for all the kind words.

Pictures in a moment in a completed thread.
