5 exhaust ports! Only 5 cylinders per side. That's unusual, isn't it?

Nice work Barry, very sharp job on the paint work.

Steve yes it's unusual, maybe two of the exhaust stubs were paired (think early Merlins with three exhaust stubs per side).

Steve, actually there are six.

The sixth comes straight out tucked behind the fifth from the front.... difficult to see and, yes a very odd configuration.

Thanks for your comments....

Hi Barry, yet another cracking build mate, and well worthy of another big 5 stars!!!!!

Cheers, Andrew

Thanks again everyone.

This is the first time I have used Parafilm M for masking a canopy and I have to say it works really well, while not perfect and I still need a spot of practise, these are the best set of canopies I have done yet. I recommend trying it. I certainly wont bother with Eduard masks again.

Superb job barry , a beautiful looking IL 2 . I keep promising myself i'm going to get one of these now the prices have calmed down a bit, it certainly looks a nice kit when finished. 5 big red stars from me , cheers tony
