I have have just finished this outstanding model from Industria Mechanika, the 1/35 Fantastical Fish-Shaped Submersible.

Painted using AK Xtreme Metal and Mr. Metal Color in Copper, Brass, Bronze, Steel and Dark Iron paints.

I replaced the kits standard clear resin portholes with 17mm Domed Watch Crystals to provide a clear view of the detailed interior (See pictures of the interior taken during the build), and the mount was made from brass painted with Mr. Metal Color Dark Iron

A very lovely thing Norman - beautifully done. Reminds me a bit of the Aquaphibian sub that used to chase Stingray.

Stunning work my friend, it's 100% better than the other one we both know of:smiling3:.
Pete.

That is really good. Great detail and the metal effects brilliant. Is the kit still available?

This is incredible work Norman, I love steampunk art, It's rare to see a model in 2018 that is so original and unique and beautifully done. I think it will inspire many to think outside the box.

Oh my God!!
I lose that one!! (So many new posts...) lol

Brilliant work Norman. I like the colour and how you work the interiors.
Lovely build :upside:

The interior is very Time Machine like - nice
The watch faces is a great idea
It would lend itself to a dark wash around the panel lines and rivets to really make the detail stand out

Some weird and wonderful creations on that website

I experimented doing that and decided against it.
What the pictures don’t show well (very difficult to capture in a photograph) is how the real metal paints create their own natural shadows, and I felt forcing shadows with a wash was unnecessary (and the wash dulled the real metal finish which I didn’t like).
You’ll have to take my word for it that in natural lighting, those details pop out beautifully :smiling4:

That is one of the nicest fantasy kit builds I have seen for a long time. Spot on:thumb2:

A great bulld, really enjoyed the photos - excellent details

It would look stunning in an aquarium, but would outshine the fish!

grand build,Norman ,love the colors, and real lie ,how your pickup the detail as well, great work,:smiling::thumb2:

Fair enough

For future use you could consider ground black artist pastel chalks - applied with a small paint brush it can be very good for shading and doesn't involve any thinners to mess with the general surface finish
