Hi Steve,

Well done on the placing, and thank you for posting those photos.
You must be chuffed. :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:

Congrats on your well-deserved win Steve, and many thanks for all the pics.

Work of exceptional quality on show there Steve - thanks for sharing. Nice to see some Sarnia busts in amongst that lot. Well done on the award, though you should have come first.

Congratulations on a well-deserved award Steve and thanks for posting the photos. :thumb2:

Lots of great builds there, looks you had a good time and a nice haul too.
Those tweezers are very good for pe and other small bits.:smiling:

Good to see the photos, and congratulations on your prize - there was some stiff competition, but you should have come 1st! I can never understand some of the judges' decisions at shows.
Pete

Congratulations Steve on your prize. Great shots and lots to see. Thanks for sharing them. This show seems bigger than Euro minus the international participation...were there any from across the Channel?

Cheers,
Richard

Jim - The Plymouth Show is on the 29th June. If you want to meet up PM me
Is the Weyland Nostromo the Halcyon kit do you know?
Ask me one on golf please Simon:smiling5:. No idea I'm afraid
I've tried out the tweezers this morning Fernando. They are so much better than mine. A good buy me thinks:thumb2:
There was a group from Caen and possibly one other French table Richard

Congrats, well deserved! Thanks for sharing your excellent photos. So many outstanding displays. The dio in the ammo box caught my eye especially, truly inspired presentation. PaulE

I was impressed with that as well Paul. It was a piece af art.

Okay then. Firstly an apology to Mr T. Didn't realise you were asking about the Alien spaceship as I didnt know that was what it was called. So for you and Neil this is what the modeller told me. The day before shooting at the studio Scott Ridley came into the model room and saw the spaceship and broke it up saying that he was not happy with it and told the modellers to get another one done before shooting the following day. So the modellers came up with the version that you now see at the beginning of the film. The model at the show is based on the original designs and is completely scratch built. It took eight years to complete. He started from the front R/H corner and worked his way across. The model is made up with odds and ends from electrical equipment. If you save the photo and zoom in you will see transistors, capacitors, nuts and bolts etc. It was certainly a labour of love and a joy to behold. If he takes it to the Plymouth show I will take some close ups for you.

a brilliant story-imagine having to do your best mogelling work through the night under that kind of pressure!

I'm sure I heard there are Tiger tank road wheels on the original somewhere.
thanks again
