Heres the Italeri mc205 veltro in 1/72 , a tooling dating from 2002. Not a bad kit but a few ejector pin marks and flash to clean up , I didn't bother with a build log as I was doing it alongside the Eduard Hellcat but a fairly straightforward build , apart from the smoke ring camo . I originally intended to use one of the AK paint markers for the rings but it gave too thick a line so had to brush paint them all . Went a bit too heavy with the staining but what the hell - i can say it had been heavily used by this time in the war! Finished in the markings of the ACI co belligerent air force in 1944 flying in support of the allies .

Awesome

Theres something about italian aircraft just like there is with russian or japanese..... Bit different, change from the usual

Beautiful work Tony. I don't think it's too heavily stained, when comparing your build with some wartime photos of operational Folgores. Those smoke rings are exquisite

I think you nailed it Tony. I think those rings may well have been hand painted on the real aircraft so top work mate.

Cheers steve , it sent me a bit cross eyed but I enjoyed doing this scheme

Thanks a lot joe , I think the staining looks a lot darker under the bright lights too

Very nice Tony 🤩

It looks brilliant, the camo rings look good and the weathering is spot on.

Geoff.

Top job old boy. Considering you brush painted the rings, they are amazingly uniform. I'm quite sure I wouldn't have the patience for that.
Too heavy on the staining ? No way, I do love a dirty bird.
