Its too flipping Hot!

Booked a few days in Newcastle at a hotel with air con to get away from the high temps.
Never liked the heat and my wife suffers with it more since she had chemo
Its the last week of the Tyne and Wear Metro Class 599 cars so i'm hoping to get some photos.
Also the National Glass museum in Sunderland closes for good in July.
Been meaning to go there so this seemed like an opportune time

I remember the Beatnics of the 50s. All black clothing w/black berets. They were big into poetry, jazz, & "spoken word" performance, kinda pre goth.

. nothing to worry about although I am going to paphos on the 15th August. Last time I went in August it was about 40 odds and swore I'd never do it again.
15th August is St Maria's day in Cyprus. I will be at the other end of the island that day.

Last St Maria's day it was 45 degrees C. ;)

Geoffers said it will soon be grey and chilly. I replied, If only.......
Ten minutes later it started to pour down here in my bit of Cornwall!! Odd looking rain too. It had a lot of white bits in it that I thought was sleet or hail, but no sign of anything like that on my paving. Rainy and overcast all day, but still very warm and windy.
Temp in my conservatory at 8.30 this morning was 84F, during the rain it dropped to 74F. at 10.30 it was 88F.

Predict me some weather that will enable me to mix and pour the concrete for my patio. Then the weather can do what it wants as I will be to knackered to care!

Windows open, check, oscillating fan on, check, 7up in fridge, check,
Neapolitan ice cream in freezer, check,
Only wearing shorts, check, still modelling double check,
Happy Days 😄😎

Wow, one hell of a thunderstorm here last night, lots of lightning which seemed to be very close by, and some very loud thunder cracks and lots of "Rumbling" thunder which also seemed very close, and rain, well, lots and LOTS of rain, it was absolutely pouring it down in bucket loads! Great for the garden and lawn though....

Yep, 32C here as well..... aircon has just gone on as the large fan in the living room, was just not doing it, so backup was required... (y);)

The aircon unit we got is good, from Machine Mart, I think its a Clarkes one, portable, but heavy, and has a ducted vent that has to go out a window. If you stand outside when its on it remarkable how much heat it throws out the vent!
We put it in the dining room pointed towards the living room, with the double doors open, so it chucks cool air into the living room, but it noisy! Hence why we have it another room. I could not have it in the bedroom as its too loud and would keep me awake.
aircon 12aug25 (2) (Medium).webp
