When the shop got too much for me to work at home and I moved to new premises the little bedroom that I was working from started to become a room for the wife's little furry friends and it ended up with several cages in for the rats, hamster and mice.

anyway last weekend my son moved out so my wife was quick to claim his bedroom for her pets, that meant the little bedroom became free again, and I got it

I tried having a place in the loft as my man cave but it was too cold in winter and too warm in summer, so I set a space aside at work but that didn't work either it just meant I spent more time at work and if I wanted to do the odd hour in an evening I couldn't.

Now I can, I went on a little shopping spree today for some of the basics, new airbrush, compressor and a few of the hobbyzone modules, I need another couple and more paints, but I've have actually started a model, first one in a long time

It's nice to have your own space John and it's nice to see you building again.

It's because I ditched almost everything I had and bought everything new, joys of owning your own model shop

I don't know John. It's a bit like new trainers, we all need them, but they just don't look quite right - a bit sterile. Your space needs some battle scars.

Oh well with all the new gear I expect to lots of modeling, you can tell us what gubbins is good and what is bad.

'What I was supprised about was just how quick the Tamiya quick setting cement is, by the time you've said capillary action it's dried.

It's A1, I don't stock them because they are too big to go Royal Mail, I can get them in green but I have to buy 10, I got the model craft one because I can buy them individually.

Good to see you modelling, have fun and don't forget to post your progress and results.

It is bowed, it used to have cupboards and shelfs either side but I took them out, before I moved I built a rack the held 160 x6 35ml jars, so there was quite a bit of weight on it
