Afternoon all,
I have no idea how I talked myself into this little party, anyway , this is what I plan to build first. ( I say first because I am sure my back up plan will be put into action pretty quickly after checking what is in the box ). So here we have... 20240928_142445.jpg 20240928_142750.jpg
Looking ??? Forward ??? To starting :(.

Gosh John.Looks a tricky one mate.P.E and me dont get on.Avoid if i can.Im sure you will knock the beast into submission.Front row seat for me before the Popcorn and Pick n mix brigade arrive.
Richard

Now that looks interesting. Resin and PE all combined into a rather delicate looking model. Methinks you'll need a big swear box 😀

Hello Richard, Jim, and Scotttie.
I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for lovely comments. I have total confidence in myself:p.
OK now the real post, I'm terrified.. I remember when I bought this at Telford, Darren assured me it go's together really well ,👍 I thought...then I opened the box back at the hotel, o nearly took it back to him the next day. Let's hope things go in my favour🤞, one can only try.

That looks erm...er...fragile- lol

I am sure you will do it proud. There is no pressure, we are all watching and cheering you on.

Afternoon all,
Ian,
Thanks for looking in and the moral support, I can see the day I start building this, any street cred I had in the modeling bank going straight out of the window :(. But all mistakes are a learning curve I suppose :).

Steve,
Welcome matey, interesting is the operative word. Will be entering totally Virgin territory on this one. I have only dealt with resin figure builds up to now and they generally are quite substttantial pieces and PE I have avoided at every opportunity. Just have to take it slow and VERY carefully.

Neil,
Cheers mate for posting the above for me, have not had time to read through and absorb any of it yet, but just a quick scan does not alleviate any of the misgivings that have been growing with every piece of info i read :(. You are a Gentleman, it will certainly help me along the way.

I'll be following. I've seen pictures of this box on the web in many occasions and it does look interesting.

Neil,
Cheers mate, we will see:).

Hi Mike,
Interesting certainly describes it, yes indeed.

Well I actually made a start.
20241002_201524.jpg Nothing earth shattering but from little acorns....... The little strip of tape was the only way I could see to glue the spokes to the wheel without it moving, fixing points are very vague, I gather that is a slight issue with this kit. So if I can do it once I can do 7 more times .

Hi Jim,
I think I have handled the only piece that isn't fiddly already, The lid of the box ;).

Sharp knife, gentle touch and CA debonder goes a long way.
if you are totally new to resin kits, be careful of the dust. Not good for your lungs.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the advice mate, when i first tried resin figures i found some of them had a distinct chemical which tended to sound alarm bells, so invested in a M3 mask and did some research on a bit of H&S ;). I think i do need to invest in some debonder, as much for my " Shakey Jake " hands as anything. Thanks again matey for the sound advice.

More patience then me John.Looks tricky but im confident you will sort it out mate. Its just good to see you back here again.I certainly missed your company.
Richard
