Here’s the finished result of my Bf 110 for the Matchbox group build.

I deliberately built this to more or less the standards I would have had when I originally built Matchbox kits as a child — or probably as close to that as you can get as an Experienced Modeller™ 35 years or so later … It’s probably far too neat and well-finished for a model I would have built back then, and it took me about five times too long, but I enjoyed the diversion and nostalgia nonetheless :)

Nice work Jakko. You didn't hang around with this one.

Great job jakko , the worn winter camo looks excellent , cheers tony

Thanks all :) it looks better in the photos than in the flesh, but I’m happy with it for what it’s supposed to be: a model built without too much attention to historical accuracy or modelling skill :)

Thanks all. Not sure what the next one will be, Lee — probably either an SH-2 Seasprite in 1:48 or a PB4Y Privateer in 1:72, but it might just be another quickie instead :) However, I’ve got something else entirely to build first, for a group build on another forum, that I should really get started on someday soon.

Lovely job Jakko.
Maybe these old kits were not as bad as I remember!
Cheers

It’s certainly not up to modern standards, but these Matchbox models have held up much better (IMHO) than many others of comparable age. I mean, parts fit with hardly any need to make them do so, for example :)

Stunning Jakko!!!,Always liked the 110.Love what you have done with an old kit.

Thanks, though “stunning” is a bit much praise for this model, IMHO :)

Thanks. It’s certainly not a bad kit, though definitely old-fashioned by today’s standards.
