Thanks Steven. If I did a Chinook, it was always going to be the famous Bravo-November, of Falklands fame.Of to a great start Joe, what painting scheme you'll be going for? Have fun, cheers
Cheers Geoff. The hammer is out.Good start Joe
I expect you will have a bit of a fight with it being an Italeri tooling but I’m looking forward to watching you beat it into submission
Geoff.
Cheers Tony. The worst versions were the ones printed on the brown backing paper. These could be okay, but they are thin. I'll give them a spray of decal bonder. The kit feels nice for its age, well and truly superseded these days by the modern Airfix offering.Nice start joe , youre right about the dodgy decal phase of Airfix , the decals were terrible at this time , usually very fragile and quite see through , often taking ages to release from the backing paper too. Kit looks quite good though
Cheers Jim. I would say there would be a few aftermarket options available, but I am hoping this sheet works out.So far so good. I'm sure this venerable kit will throw up some challenges but nothing you can't sort. Good luck with the decals. Are there suitable after market decals available?
Following along Joe. Great iconic helicopter.
Nice progress Joe, all looking good, have fun
Cheers Mike.A classic kit. Never made a helicopter though. Enjoy
