I wasn't sure if yall took in Yanks from across the pond over here,...... but here goes. :worried: You could always tell your friends ya found me at the corner market, I'm good with that.
I recognize a few faces and names here from other sites, so I'm not completely lost. I'm into figure painting, mostly larger scales, but I have been known to work armor kits, and even a wingy dingy thingy every now and again. I just don't fancy working cars or anything that needs to have a very clean appearance when finished. I like to fall back on the "old carpenter's rule", we always know how to hide our mistakes. So far, so good. Car builders have my total and complete respect, their artistic talents are impressive.
I've been "sniffin paint and gluin my fingers together" since I was in my early teens. I got started painting figures very early were I learned from the son of Donald Burgess, the former editor of Campaigns magazine. Yes, that was a very long time ago, but most of us can remember those days way back then.
I'm retired, so I try to get some model bunker time in every day, if possible. Summers are tough, lots to maintain here on the Ranchito, horses, chickens, dogs, stacking hay, clearing fields, etc. Winters are much more conducive to bunker time, minus the shoveling and plowing snow. Up here in the bush 90 miles north of Spokane, WA we can get dumped on, but nothing a good cigar and some tunes playing won't fix, right?
