So I’ve just finished building the Revell 1:144 chinook, I had a bloody terrible experience with it, loads of gaps and parts that didn’t fit, and I’m sort of done with small fiddly models. I’m sort of just looking for an easy, nice and simple model to put together that looks nice and detailed. Doesn’t really need to be anything specific, tank, fighter jet/prop or warship, hit me with it!

A good Tamiya kit sounds a plan.Maybe their Cromwell tank or Chieftain tank both in 1.35th.Or perhaps their jeep model or a German Kubelwagen.
Happy hunting for a model that takes your fancy fella.

Just to drop another name in the mix, the 1/48 Eduard Zero I built for a group build here a couple of years ago is probably the cleanest moulded and best fitting kit I’ve ever made. Decals were several generations better than Tamiya as well….

The Airfix 1/48 clipped wing Mk XIV Spitfire was a great build as well. It has a cleverly moulded canopy that solves the Spitfire open cockpit canopy issue really nicely as a bonus.

Oh yeah I’ll give that a try, I’ve had good experiences with tamiya

Tamiya Pz 2 or 3 with a little aftermarket perhaps? Straightforward inexpensive builds that can produce some excellent outcomes - and lend themselves to small dioramas etc! They are both good introductions to the black art of PE to boot! Good luck in your search mate.

Just to add, Tamiya yes, but something from this century, some of the older kits had fitment issues.

I have just started a Tamiya 1/35 WW1 MKIV Male Tank and really enjoying it, everything is fitting perfectly.
Maybe shouldn't tempt fate, but its a pleasure after my last dismal failure where everything was just a little bit out.
