They say that ‘all kits have their issues’, something I have always believed. But this kit bucks the rule, it’s probably the best designed and engineered kit i have ever experienced. I can find no criticism but if I really had to be picky I might turn to the moulded in aerial mast on the fin, very vulnerable it broke off before I even had a chance to work out how to protect it. I made a replacement from plastic card.
This aircraft encapsulates the difficulties that German manufacturing has towards the end of the war. Dispersed production and lower standards with panels often ill-fitting, all reproduced by Kotare without going over the top with it. Kotare actually reference it in the instructions so to know it’s part of the design. Also this particular aircraft displays the vagaries of paint production, some unpainted panels,, different versions of RLM76, different camo schemes, crudely painted over markings and so on. Pajntii i g this model was the biggest challenge with the kit, I loved it!!!
