Since the Beatles and the Stones first hit the scene in the early '60's, I've wanted a set of drums.....

Now, 50yrs. on, I finally have me a set. Electric they may be, but the sound is great! My grandson who has a 'proper acoustic set' is as jealous as can be.....Tough, hand's off!!

Bought new for a dear sweet child a year ago, they have hardly been touched, so I kindly took them off his hands - good old Ebay!

It came complete with a cracking Marshall amp, a stool, sticks and headphones (who needs these when you have no neighbours?!)

Live the life...it's the only one you have.

Stiff back, sore hands....who cares?

Love and peace,

I loved playing my drums when younger, was in a rock band, played gigs and then played 50's and 60's stuff in local pubs, enjoyed it but the disability stopped me... :(

Enjoy them, get some drummers tape of even a pair of golf gloves these will stop blisters and soreness from the sticks.

Thanks boys...

Si, thanks for the tip. Not like the real thing I suppose, but a good sound nonetheless.

Dave, my dear chap, the're not earmuffs, but headphones.....or if, like me now, you are 'In the groove.' they are called 'Cans'.....get with it babe.

John, sounds like a plan Stan!

Nice drums Ron a bit old to be annoying the niebours though don't you think lol :D

I could never play the drums although I did have a go on my mates set I found it the best way to get rid of all that stress anger built up from work :D

No neighbours Alan, the only things likely to get annoyed are cows and Buzzards......'suppose I could include the wife mind!

Love this , it just makes me chuckle , thinking of Ron bashing away scaring the cows!! Honestly though , I cant wait to be a pensioner , it looks a right laugh!! Good on yer mate , cheers tony

DRUMMER JOKES:

What's the best way to confuse a drummer?

Put a sheet of music in front of him.

Why do guitarists put drumsticks on the dash of their car?

So they can park in the handicapped spot.

What's the difference between a large pizza and a drummer?

The pizza can feed a family of four...plus the box can be used for models :D

And finally...all drummers are 'Cymbal-minded'

Knowing Justine's liking for Star Wars characters, I thought she might find these useful:

Your cows will be grateful for the headphones. When we lived in suburbia our neighbour's son took to the drums. He practiced the same 5 second 10 bang phrase (to use an inappropriate musical term) over and over and over again for about an hour per session, several times a week.

A friend had the same problem next door except it was the trumpet. Which is worse-difficult to tell.

This is about the only drum kit I could afford (or be allowed to own...):-

I can see a "Scale Model Band" in the making here.
If anyone's got a triangle going spare, count me in......

A triangle...That's three parts isn't it?

O.K., Colin, you on triangle, me on drums......+ the woman on the wing in your Calendar for October. She can play with whatever she wants!....Deal?
