Latest Acquisitions (2019)

I have a bad habit of regularly breaking drills, whether expensive, or cheap, so all the way from China for £2 quid................. drills (1).JPG

Dave

Here’s what I intend to build when I’m done with my LCAC:

The Dragon KPz 70, which I’ll convert to an American variant with some tweaks. That’s also what the paint is for, and a brand I‘ve never used, so we’ll see if it’s any good.

I thought I’d buy it from John, which I’d not tried before, and must say I’m quite impressed with the service: ordered it on Tuesday, got it delivered on Friday. I’ve had orders from the UK take up to two weeks to arrive :(

Paul,
0.6mm - 1.5mm - all with a 3.175mm shank. They're normally sold as PCB drills - probably wouldn't be up to power use, but good in a pin chuck

Dave, I have some similar to those. I believe they are made for power CNC pattern drilling use in robotic assembly plants. They are extremely sharp and very hard wearing. Not sure they would stand up to hand held power tool use though....

Certainly is Bob. They know i love the Fw190 and they asked their mum to get me one. I've obviously got them trained right lol

And so I can finish building my 1/72 Tiger, some micro tubing that was suggested by our very own StuG-a-holic Bob.
The tubing is going to be used to make up parts for replacement recovery cables.

I ended up with the vintage Italeri offering - bet yours is better

this is what happens when I roam the ebay in the wee small hours :smiling4: £15
Look, it has a whopping 45 pieces
These things are now over thirty years old so scope for practicing some dilapidation, weathering and mud

this also arrived from Peter - I think it is his best yet. Nicely boxed and cast and at a sensible price (£40-50 for a bust is just ridiculous in my book however well sculpted)
Just hope I can do it justice

Fathers day present is finally here.

My wife had trouble finding stock in the UK so it's come from Japan, hence the delay. Box was a bit squashed but everything inside is fine. I'm looking forward to building my first car and this is probably my favourite one of all time so want to make it nice. One thing I know for sure is that it won't be red!
