Nice looking linisher Neil. What make is it and what do you expect to use it on?

I can't remember the make but it's identical to Axminster's own. I got it from Amazon around £80 mark.
It's basically the start of my retirement plan- I have access to all this kind of kit at work but that will finish when I (eventually)retire.
I'm sure I will find plenty of uses for it, but specifically it's for my main retirement project;

I've never done anything like it before so it should keep me occupied for a couple of years.
SWMBO is going to freak when I bring it down from the loft - and I will have to do that long before it's finished as it's too big for the hatch.....

Hi this arrived today from forum member Paul or prichrd1 and is very generous of him to of done so, that's one of the reasons I've stayed with the forum because it is very friendly and helpful and nice things like this happen. I've already tested some of it and it works :thumb2:.

This turned up this afternoon, as I've said to Paul how ironic. This is the new Klear it smells the same as the old stuff.

Arrived yesterday - some little boxes with even smaller writing on them!!!!

SLS scale ammunition boxes, these for 1:35th German 75mm shells.
(Other sizes available).
You get 2 per pack, made from laser cut mdf.
Small sheet of "how to" stick you're fingers together !!!!



Sharp blade and a few drops of cyano and you end up with this :-



I know the perfectionists will say they should be painted but I think they look better as is.
Now all I have to do is fashion some hinges and fasteners from foil without loosing one or two digits !

Hi all

So ever since seeing a picture of one of these a in Battle of Britain book as a little nipper, I've always had a thing for WW2's big twin engined fighters although I don't think I ever built one as a kid (other than possibly a Mossie but even then I can't be sure).

I then saw this particular offering at a very small local model show/kit swap*** and thought why not - especially as it's my birthday next week!! :smiling3: This particular offering was released in 1970 and was even still wrapped in the plastic :astonished:,. The moulds actually pre-date my birth, being from 1967 (link HERE). I did find a couple of recent-ish build blogs and although it's a very simple kit by modern standards it apparently goes together very nicely!! It wasn't particularly cheap compared to online offerings of the same kit but I at least saved on the P&P.

Should this go ok I already have my eye on a more advanced and up to date 110 kit, so watch this space!

Despite not getting in the shed or even on the forum much recently I still managed to squeeze in a bit of retail therapy! I got this beauty off e bay - Mini hobby ( trumpeter) Mil mi 24 Hind in 1/48 scale -£10.23 buy it now , free postage ! Only thing is it came from Hong Kong so it took two and a half weeks to come and looked like the captain of the cargo plane had been using it as a seat cushion!! Anyways the kit survived pretty much intact , except for the canopy which has a crack in it , hopefully i can repair it and polish it up . Its a lovely looking kit , cockpit is a bit simplified but a good starting point and the rest is nicely detailed. Comes with parts and decal options for Hind D or Hind F . Looking forward to this one, cheers tony
