Hi all

So a variety of things have arrived in the past week in a pre-Christmas influx. As always all absolutely essential, of course!! :tongue-out3::smiling5:

There will be no more kit arrivals for the foreseeable future, as I literally cannot get any more kits in the cupboard.

White ink gel pens for writing names on some vehicles - 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8mm in size. Early tests look promising, if needing a bit of practice! I have subsequently discovered some 2mm adhesive letters and so have ordered those too.

Three barrels for my PSC Stugs. Just for Bob

This was a freebie given to our model club at a recent show and they very kindly gave it it to Junior at the meeting on Monday night.

Now I'm doing more planes I decided to invest in one of these to make life easier and especially to protect my work for when I have to clear the modelling table as I have to do on a regular basis.

Next up are some barrels - one for Junior's AA Crusader and the other from his Daimler armoured car (the same as used on the Matilda from what I can see)

This is what the 20mm OERLIKON should look like once completed - I hope!

One can never have enough scenery for our little battles! This was bought from a small online supplier and was around 25% off RRP, not that they are easy to find for anywhere close to this once P&P is taken into account.

To compliment the 110 G-4 I bought recently, when I saw this at 25% less than RRP from the same supplier as the house I could not resist!

Andrew those pens look the thing I could have used on my StuG, will look them up.

We are at Butlins in Skegness for the weekend for a catch up with our son who moved out a few months ago so we had to have an early Christmas, this is one of my prezzies...

Nice one Pete - I’ve been using one of the original Olfa versions since the late 80’s. Excellent plastic cutters

Hi all

So you may remember from my last influx that I had ordered some 2mm vinyl letters and they duly arrived at work today and they look quite nice.

Stupidly over-sized picture below in the hope you can make them out!

Good evening chaps,
Was lucky enough to get some pennies for Christmas :smiling4:
So took a trip to the local model train shop....which I’m pleased to say have now got a lovely range of Tamiya stuff on the shelves and not badly priced either.

Im going to have a go at a 1:48 dio for the Bf109. Not sure of all the details yet, so picked up some bits for inspiration...

Well i have had the present of a modelling lifetime. A very kind person whom i have been conversing with for a while now sent me a package for free for xmas.

Kits, aftermarket and books. There are still two more kits to arrive as they were to big for the box. I'll not go into all the bits and bobs but suffice to say the gentleman in question has made a grown man (me) weep like a baby. Humbled is an understatement. His generosity has totally overwhelmed me.

Looks like Santa took advantage of the Revell sale at Hobbycraft :smiling5:

Itching to start the Tamiya as I've heard it's a brilliantly engineered kit, but since I haven't done a plane for a while I'll probably practice with the Beaufighter.

First things first though - trawling through the instructions and interwebs to work out what paints I need to order!
