Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Just landed, and fits my preference for quirky vehicles.

My first time with a Gecko kit, but there's plenty stuffed inside the box and at first glance seems well moulded & detailed.

And a figure set to go with it. Looks like there are different posing options, plenty of accessories, and even etch parts for the gun slings, antenna etc.

Hi all

So today a small and partially used arrival - that's five in five days!! :smiling:

If you want to know why I'm pleased to see a partially used set of decals then look no father than HERE.

Looks good Andy.

My brother used to be a paramedic and spent about half his service on what's called a "Hazardous Area Response Team". They had equipment and training to go where most paramedics and ambulances can't. One of the things he got to drive was something that looked very similar to your stretcher vehicle. Looking forward to seeing that hit the cutting mat!

ATB.

Quite the coincidence Andrew, my kid brother is also a paramedic that tends to go where others can't. Dangling out the side of a SAR helicopter for one!

And I have a combination of nothing on the bench, 12 days off work, and high level covid restrictions keeping me fairly house bound, so I should be starting very soon!

Just delivered ... courtesy of Hermes.

Won on eBay auction for just £12 INCLUSIVE of courier shipping. Kit includes photo etch.

I've been watching evil bay for WWI vehicles to go with my 1/32 scale Tommy's war figures and I was originally going for a Model T Ford, but they were too expensive at the time, so I went for this.

Painted green it will be just the job for a staff car.
Now, does anyone know of a good source for PE wire-spoked wheels? I had a bit of a search yesterday but no luck so far.
Love the cover art! It could easily be assumed that is the front cover of "Jeeves in the offing" or "Love among chikens" ...;)

No kits, but a most important supply has reached Race Towers goods inwards dept.

May be not exciting as some deliveries but the sight of 6 x 2020.jpg 5mm KAPA board sheets 500x 700 to the Stalingrad Building Company is great.

I'm surprised they are white and not 4BO........would save paint and time :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2::tongue-out:

Arrived today and it's impressive.
A good kit for the incoming winter.

I used KAPA foamboard in my professional life for 20 plus years and I feel bound to inform everyone that regular UHU works fine with KAPA foam board, and it's quite a bit cheaper than the polystyrene stuff.
It also works quicker because of the lovely solvents in it!
Kapa is made with polyurethane foam, not polystyrene.
Sorry John
Looks like you won't be running out anytime soon, though.

Thanks Neil, I only use it to glue the foam to its self, I glue the sheets back to back, (paper to paper) using normal PVA. I sure I read on the 4D model site site that it was the right glue, bugger :angry::angry::angry: Well that the xmas presents sorted for some then. Cheers .:thumb2:

Me thinks the fumes from the UHU are responsible for the everything green moments and general Russiki obsession, fetch matron;)
