Big Ed for the Tempest - not yet decided on the Typhoon or Lysander PE sets.
The ones specifically for these kits have been discontinued by Eduard.

Das Werk 2cm Flak - loved the quality of the last kit I ordered - saw this on Evil Bay at
a good price. :flushed:

Hi Paul

Can you just confirm - with the Overtrees kits, does one box contain enough to make one kit or do I sometimes need to buy more than one box sometimes?

Thanks.

Andrew

Thanks Bob!!! Both RFM and Miniart are bringing out J's with interiors. I'm with you on the StuG too!!!

Thank you Jim, I know exactly what you mean. The companies only concentrate on the item at hand and don't research any of the associated equipment. It is a shame and sometimes AM companies try to compensate for that, but only sometimes...…....

Thanks my friend and that's it for now too. I am back to following my rule Fernando, and you???

Can’t make any promises as I’m levelling up too soon….:tongue-out3:

The overtrees contain enough parts to make one model. In my case, the Lysander, which contains the bits for either a standard Lysander or a modified Special OPs version
If you think of an Eduard Weekend Model, without the decals, instructions & fancy box, that's overtrees!

Thanks Dave. Sorry I was just being lazy, so I went and had a look as I should have done.

I have a couple of ProfiPack 110s in the stash but have never actually built an Eduard kit yet. The price is very tempting so it might be worth a splurge as an Eduar 'test piece', especially as I have a spare set of decals in stash I can use.

No ! Is the answer :nerd::smiling::smiling::smiling:, makes me feel ill :flushed:

Andrew,

Following on from what Dave said above - instructions are either on the Eduard site or Scalemates - either way - they are a free download :thumb2: . Decals the choice is your's plenty of after market or aircraft specific available on the web, and if you really want PE then Eduard do equivalents for other makes of the same aircraft and these could be adapted.

HTH.

Paul.

Get it built Bob

It seems to be a really good kit from the reviews

You can never have too many Pz III's

Thanks Paul for the tips. I had found the instructions online.

However, the postage though does make a purchase prohibitively expensive for a single 1/72 kit purchase ( I don't have the room for anything bigger) - £19 for an FW190A-8. The postage and VAT on top of that is the killer (see below). I can pick up a Weekend edition in the UK for £13 including P&P. Looks like I'll have to a very big order to make it worth my while. A real shame!

Thanks again!

Andrew,
yes, for a single model it's not worth it! That's why I bought 2 x 1/48 & Paul bought 3! Factoring in the p&p is really important ( ever got a model from the USA? )
Dave

( ever got a model from the USA? )

Years ago - it used to be great ordering from the States, postage was kept to a minimum and very often there was little if any import duty if you were wise.
Now postage charges are horrendous as is the import duty above a certain value. That's without the ever fluctuating exchange rate.

If I can't get an item in the U.K. - Europe is still the cheaper alternative, next HK or China.

Hi Dave, In short no. But as paul said below I've had issues with the import duty on items I have bought - although the worst is the £8ish admin fee they charge you on top!

Thanks as always.

A really exciting day today. - not only a visit to B&Q (who would have thought buying a drill bit would be something I looked forward to!). The real reason for excitment was my first visit to our local model shop for over 10 weeks! Not only are we lucky enough to have a model shop - it is open again.

Knowing they had done no business for 10 weeks I decided to support them by buyIng something completely different. something i would not normally buy; I had hoped for an F1 car but they had none in stock so along with some putty and glue I bought this:

I have never built a car like this before so it will be a new experiance.

I've made several Zvezda 1/48 aircraft, & this looks to be as good as the others. Zvezda give you the options of building cowled, or engine on show. - but building it with the cowling on would hide the 40+ part engine, I noticed the pilot has two heads! one with goggles & one without.. I made the Eduard 1/48 Yak-3 a few years ago, and although this has no PE, the Zvezda offering is in a different league......................

Just arrived I took a punt as these type of kits are quite hard to come by it's currently a box of bits.
