Hi this came today, must thank Jim for this help :thumb2: .

Photo light box 40cm x 40cm, it comes with four different colored backgrounds, has a on/off light switch and up/down dimer switches.
I have I believe the same, works a treat for the relatively low price!

Nice one Pete, you have the same birthday as my Daughter......
The Somua looks like a toon even before it’s been to a Toon Town.....
pout of interest, what’s the Center finder for?

Must leave alone until other projects are finished, must leave alone until other projects are finished.

I have a bit of a modelling 'want list' and if I see something on that list pop up at a good price... I did have a diorama idea, but as this one is interior as well...might have to think of something else. Anyway the kit looks really, really nice, not made an AFV Club model before. Aluminium barrel, basic etch, but unfortunately rubber band tracks.

I don't believe I've ever posted in the 'Latest acquisitions' thread, but this is a bit different.
I've got a little thing going for training aircraft and recently finished a Chipmunk. On seeing this, Yak face, Tony, said, 'you need an S.A. Bulldog' Good idea I said. Here, have mine, free, for nothing, gratis, said Tony. Well being a well travelled person, I haggled, and went in at a tenner, Tony beat me down to a sausage roll and a coffee at Cosford. You can see I'm a 'seasoned' haggler.
So, recently arrived is this little gem of a kit. A big thank you to the very generous Tony, Yak face.

After seeing Colin Ms blog of the Matchbox Mercedes SSK - I wondered if I could pick up my favourite - the Auto-Union
Well, a DHL courier just delivered this....................

Box, very tatty, decals, a bit crispy, but parts complete! ( apart from the tiny windscreen - easily fabricated! )
I decided I'd spend a bit of time on ebay, concentrating on UK auctions only, those finishing on a weekday, actually finishing during 'working hours'. This has a reasoning that most people concentrate on ebay at the weekend, or on weekday evenings. There should be less competition during the day........................
I saw this, one bid at £9.99, free postage finishing on Monday at 11:30 , so I decided 15.07 was my top bid ( prime number bids apparently have a statistically higher chance of winning an auction - no idea why ). Anyway I won it at £10.50!, and the free postage was by DHL courier! delivered today - Wednesday at 16:00
It just goes to show, with a bit of patience & due diligence, you can still snap up bargains on ebay! Quite cheered me up!!!!!

This is so true Dave as I have managed the same. A seller was offering a kit as a scrap/defective item, so I grabbed it for € 5 and less than a tenner with postage,

After an inventory of it, the kit was 100% complete and just a bit built. Another one where the seller said it was a scrap/defective kit,

Again, all sprues other than one are sealed. The cradle is built and had 2 handles broken off (they are in the box). Kit is 100% complete and was € 18 delivered to the door. Yeah, there goes my "No Kit" rule in the trash again, BUT, they were bargains from hell.........

Prost
