Would you split them?!!...
I fancy the Fearless.... I worked on that beauty years ago...and the Intrepid shortly afterwards:thumb2:

As an apprentice in 1982/3.. a quality assault ship in those days
...... Shame it's all so lacking these days!! :astonished:

I sold an early 1970s kit of fearless on EBay in first lockdown…..I’d had it since I was a kid but never built it….went for a fair bit. Funny thing is, the purchaser lived about seven miles away in Castle Cary.

Well October has been a good month for me!
Another trio for the stash...

Blimey!! :astonished:
Excellent subjects,and they must've cost a bit!!
I built that M3 A2 exact same kit a couple of years ago, superb kit and build:thumb2:,

I’ve always wanted to do a model of Intrepid, she’s the ship my dad cross decked onto before going ashore with the rest of 3 Para on East Falkland.
Although Fearless’ sister ship I understand there were some differences I haven’t looked into in detail - ships aren’t really my thing normally.

Andy, I think they were less than £23 each, which is a bargain!
I built all 3 many years ago but trying to find them again was like rocking horse poop, when one became available a kidney would have to be sold to be able to afford it! Then Tamiya re-released them and everyone is happy... unless you didn't get it on this drop?!

Thankfully I never went to sea on Intrepid, flat bottomed and no thank you!

Someone used have one of these parked on their drive round the corner from where I used to live in leafy suburban Hampshire.
Nothing like a bit of home security! :smiling5:

Someone likes half-tracks!!
Yeah they're alright, something to build, haha

Only problem with it is that hardly any were ever actually in use :smiling3: The instructions do tell you how to backdate it to the M3A1 that was very common, though.
I'll work on it, see what goes :smiling4:

......adding lots of rivets I'll bet.
Whose counting?!

IIRC, the main thing is removing the “ladders” from the sides, as well as a few other bits. Tamiya would have done far better to mould those ladders (actually stowage racks) separately anyway, this would both look better and allow easy backdating to an M3A1.

Hi chaps,
Got fed up with my Wingy things teetering on my improvised stand,so finally bit the bullet and got one of these, which has just arrived....

This is large enough for 1/32 planes,so,as I do 1/48, it should suit my needs for my larger types :thumb2:

I got a wooden one a while ago....ok for 1/72 single and twins and 1/48 single engined planes. Might need a bigger one for 1/48 twin engined and 1/72 four engined ones.... Can you PM me the link mate?
