The result of a spur of the moment look in a Burgess Hill antique shop.
£9, unopened in its original 1971 packaging, everything appears in good condition apart from the decals, although I’ll see if sunbleaching has any effect before going aftermarket.
A golden oldie kit.Nice.
Rich

Another for my IJN attic fleet

Fujimi Shimakaze

Nice one Bob.

Been after this for ages, heard Dragon are re issuing the kit and no doubt more expensive. In my humble opinion the most handsome battleship made!

Now other manufacturers take note! The funnel is in one piece, no god damn seam!

Or is it really a battlecruiser....discuss! ;)

Starting to head back into aircraft building.Think i havent made a plane since 1990s.Phantoms have always been my jet of choice especially U.k ones.Back in the day i was keen to do all squadrons in U.k service from tactical Phantoms from 1969 onwards and then the air defence squadrons.Got the FG1 from E.bay and Fgr2 from Kingkit for 21.99 which is good price.
Rich.
Sad to read, but you can get help for this slip Rich. SAE for full details .

Going to have to go there myself (building aircraft), I keep adding them to the stash, but despite saying I was taking a break from afv's here I am still building afv's...
Steady Wibble , steady , one going over the top is bad enough but not you as well .

Not built one since 1980, so thought it was time to get the RFM Tiger out and start working on the idea for a diorama/vignette.
Not much work done so far, more a case of collecting accessories from far and wide - more later once the build gets underway.
And Yes! that is the N&B book on the 'Grille' ......
"He's cracked I tell you - he's gone German - send for the van....."

Oil paints, synthetic brushes for dedicated use with same, low odour thinners, and some CA gel for assembling resin miniatures.

The blame for the oils I lay squarely at @Steve Ski 's door! :smiling5:

I think we will see more beautifully painted figures in the future! No pressure!! :tears-of-joy: :tears-of-joy:

Just like buses you wait ages for a IAR 80 /81 then two come at once !
As I’m rather enjoying the 1/48 IAR 80 at the moment , when I saw this at a great price ( 28.25 delivered ) I had to get it . Its a beautiful looking kit complete with Photo etch and resin . Surface detail is superb and levels of detail are excellent . Only thing that looks a bit tricky is navigating the instructions - just lots of exploded diagrams and multiple red arrows . They could learn a thing or two from the latest Airfix instruction style . IMG_4460.jpegIMG_4461.jpegIMG_4462.jpegIMG_4463.jpegIMG_4464.jpegIMG_4465.jpegIMG_4466.jpeg
