Keep us informed please, PaulSomething to experiment with.......was in hobbycraft and found these reduced to 4 quid. ...they are face paints...this set is for 'multicultural activities' as it says on the box.....caught my eye as theres lots of shades of brown ....and to my eye look like those tamiya weathering sticks.....only bigger and a lot cheaper.....apparently quick drying and even water soluable.....even if theydont work for what i have in mind its only 4 quid!

Alex (shop owner) has a youtube channel (same name as the shop) and streams quite frequently, it's really worth a watch!I discovered a new (to me) model shop about eight miles away. It’s called Mann’s Model Moments and is in the high street Wincanton. Well stocked for a relatively small shop, with a few second hand items as well. I have built much British armour over the years, so I came away with this…

Had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and needed a new airbrush so after reading/watching a few reviews decided to get this.
Not had a chance to use it yet but it looks and feels quality.
For just shy of £69.00 delivered direct from the manufacturer with a free spare nozzle it was too good to resist :smiling4:
Geoff.
Wow Neil, A Fuselage and a Fusihorse....All in one kit too!!! Nice Buddy........but I saw a uniform plate of these boys and they look quite colourful. And Lord knows I need a change from bloody NAVY!

Nice kit. I have a few Historex and the area which i think show their age are the heads and hands - I always replace these with resin parts.I've been very restrained for the last few years, working my way through the stash, but I saw a uniform plate of these boys and they look quite colourful. And Lord knows I need a change from bloody NAVY!
I already have a load of Historex but this was quite a bargain on Fleabay so I took a punt and got it at asking price.
I haven't built a Historex figure since my teens, so I am moving him up the queue once the Landing Craft is done.
You need to add about a 1/8 inch wide plastic wedge to the rear of the horse as the Historex ones were a bit slim around the rear quarters and fill in accordingly also with the rear of the saddle.I've been very restrained for the last few years, working my way through the stash, but I saw a uniform plate of these boys and they look quite colourful. Had one sent to me to try out when they were trying to get customer reviews, I am sure I put a review on here somewhere. Good airbrush, good value for money and as good as the main contenders.Had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and needed a new airbrush so after reading/watching a few reviews decided to get this.

Ah a 1/1 kit, how big was the box!!Hi all
So another acquisition today....but 1:1 scale.
As you know I am changing jobs soon and I have been fortunate to have a company car with my current job (done in such a way that I don't get clobbered for tax too). Whilst I am able to buy it when leaving, it is far too expensive. even allowing for the exceptional discount we get......it was a Merc after all....and so I had to get a 'new' second second hand car.
As the 'new' car is used*** - albeit only a year old - I had to take delivery before the end of this month and there was no point in running two cars, and so the company car went back at lunchtime and I picked up the below this evening.

***This is actually the first ever used car I have owned.....I have always been fortunate to either get a family discount on new cars though my mum or actually worked for a motor manufacturer...

Quick question: is there anything in there on Erebus and Roberts in the Walcheren campaign in 1944? I would assume so, but if it’s reasonably extensive I might want to see about buying a copy of this book too.Bargain £5
