Following on from Scotties tripod to hold your vehicle while spraying, and to save me destroying a perfectly good camera tripod. I went a hunting... I did not find any wabbits, but this instead....

It is described as a vlog tripod or as it says on the box, v log tr i pod It comes in either Red, Black or Blue to match your eyes... Oh! nearly forgot £1.49 from Azon... that is correct £1.49....

It’s meant for putting a smartphone or a ring light on when filming yourself. I got something similar with the ring light I showed in the photography thread.

Just arrived from El Greco Miniatures.

These are by RN Estudio, 3D printed by El Greco, with a layer height of 30 microns. They look nice and smooth to me, but priming will show up stepping, if there's any evident enough to need remediation.

And this, also from El Greco:

This is probably the most complicated figure I've constructed, but I'm sure it'll go together just fine - quality seems really good. The sculpt is very distinctive - look at the angular shapes of the horse's tail. A similarly angular rendering has been used on the mane and the cloak, giving the figure a distinctive graphic quality.

A new cushion for the hot seat:

My wife bought one some time ago for her office chair and I thought it was just a gimmick, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfy, especially when sat for long periods. A few of her team have now got them too, so thought I'd treat myself.

From Amazon, under "gel cushion"

It depends on the size Chris. This is the largest at 50x45cm so was £20, but they start from a tenner.

I’ve been after one of these for a while for a project I have in mind. They’re difficult to find for sensible prices in the UK so finally bit the bullet when I saw this.

My latest acquisition is a 3D Printer. I won £350 this week on the irish lottery and was browsing amazon and saw a £500 3D printer on offer for £399. So really it only cost me £50.
However, I may come to regret it as I know next to nothing about them. it came yesterday and jeez it's a heavy beast.

For anyone interested it's a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro.

Had to make a trip to my local (25 miles away!) model shop for a specific can of paint......but these followed me home

The Eunos is of course a mk1 MX-5.....it was cheap and i dont think ive ever done one

My mini stash now stands at a mahoosive 5 :smiling6: not sure what im going to do next lol20240820_151513.jpg

The Mazda was the 2nd kit I built and it's as much a shake n bake kit as you are likely to get but turns into a nice model. I bought after market resin front spoiler and sill skirts very reasonably from a vendor on e bay. My only advice is do not remove the windscreen frame support sprue till the the last possible minute or the top frame will snap - ask me how I know ;).

Well I finally paid off the mortgage last week so, of course, had to treat myself.

Loads of plastic, chrome, PE, seat belt material, nuts, bolts, pipes, hoses etc. all for £72.00 delivered. It is a no name kit but exactly the same as the Trumpeter and Magnifier kits.
Parts are really nicely moulded with very little flash, clear parts are acceptable, too many parts in chrome, good decals and decent instructions.
Will probably be my winter build.

Starting to head back into aircraft building.Think i havent made a plane since 1990s.Phantoms have always been my jet of choice especially U.k ones.Back in the day i was keen to do all squadrons in U.k service from tactical Phantoms from 1969 onwards and then the air defence squadrons.Got the FG1 from E.bay and Fgr2 from Kingkit for 21.99 which is good price.
Rich.

That will put a stop to the accusations of "Was that you or the chair.....":rolling:

Going to have to go there myself (building aircraft), I keep adding them to the stash, but despite saying I was taking a break from afv's here I am still building afv's...

The result of a spur of the moment look in a Burgess Hill antique shop.
£9, unopened in its original 1971 packaging, everything appears in good condition apart from the decals, although I’ll see if sunbleaching has any effect before going aftermarket.
