As young Mr Grace would say"Youve all done very well",A nice selection of goodies. My wife bought me a nice rechargeable mini drill which has no lead just USB charging.Be good for small jobs and will have a try later.I got from.my folks 2 Panda models M1 Abrams kits. One is the M1 and other Ipm1 version.I like the earlier ones.Seen a few reviews which slate the kits but good enough for my mediocre standards.
Happy modelling all.
Richard

A few supplies arrived this week.

IMG_3994.jpg From the shop, a few paints for my Fw 190, another couple of marker/painting pens which I am really liking and a possible future entry if the “paint it black” GB comes to fruition.

Also.
IMG_3988.jpg Seatbelts for the Fw 190, Masks and instrument panel for the Defiant and an instrument panel for a future Swordfish build to make up the cost to get free shipping 😉

Geoff.

Turned up in the post today.....Very pleased, been after one of these for a while!
From memory I think it was the last steam powered warship in the Royal Navy?
Airfix HMS Fearless jan25 (1).jpg
Lots of places have it on their webpage, but always out of stock. Then I saw this one a while back on flea bay, but didn't buy it.
But it kept niggling away at me, I made one of these when I was a kid, and bodged it obvs, so want to do a better job this time around.
Eventually I gave in and bought it. Box is a bit tatty but it looks like its all there. Very happy. 8-)

New book (for me). Been after this for years but could never find it at a reasonable price. It sometimes goes for stupid prices, but is generally about three times its original cover price. Anyway, got (very) lucky on eBay and viola…

Need to find some flat figures now 😁

Had to look that one up (flat figures), very impressive paintwork on that cover, have fun mastering the new skill, cheers

Even more impressive when you find out that figure is 30mm high Steven. Flats are something I’ve always wanted to try, so I’m hoping this gives me the shove I need…..

Walked into Daisho the other day and bought this cutter. Haven't used one of these for ages since art school days to cut friskets to airbrush.

If it ever gets blunt I'll use it for scribing. Daisho is a Japanese Pound shop for those who may not know.

Cheers,

This year's Airfix Club Kit arrived this afternoon. A quick check and all looks OK, one tiny aerial for the RAF version has come adrift from the sprue but was lurking in the bottom of the bag.

All the best to Julie and yourself. Support and love each other - that will go a long way to seeing you both through this difficult time. As for modelling, open the ship builders when you're ready.

Please give julie all my best
i was lucky as i got radiotherapy for my cancer but i know what its like as my late wife had chemo

the important thing is to look after yourself as well as her......both mental as well as physical......i dont think people realise the stress and impact it has on a carer.....so please make sure you make a little effort for yourself....youre no good to her if you break

When things improve down the line i look forward to seeing all the floaty things getting built
