Will have to try one of these 'superkits' myself.Tamiya kits are the best in my opinion.Although I do enjoy wrestling with old less than perfect kits.

Well Dave, Tamiya do make a good kit that builds up well and fit together!!! I'm a bit like you in that respect. With a small pile of "classic" Airfix in the stash and a good few built, I enjoy the challenge. Bonus is that some of the older Airfix stuff is still classed as the best there is, or was. The Lightning, Buccaneer and Jaguar spring to mind. The Jag does need a bit of work though and I am looking forward to the new offering from Kitty Hawk, and the New Italeri one. (which is odd, its been confirmed, by Italeri, and slipped off the radar again).

A bit off the topic of latest Acquisitions, but worth a mention as seeing what people have been buying. Some of the long forgotten kits are coming out from some of the new names in the kit world. Meng have just announced a new Me 410 which is getting a good review.

Ian, I can report that this kit doesn't come with the EAPS/SNIPS engine intake filters sadly. On the plus side it does come with torpedoes! In the three years I spent on D flt I don't ever recall HAR3's fitted with anything more potent than a Very gun. I'm gonna have to find an aftermarket supplier for the filter...anybody got any ideas?

You might just like this link ;-)

David J. Parkins 1/48th Post War RAF/RN

His PE is the dogs dangly bits, as is the white metal bits. So much to chose from I don't know where to start!!

I had a look at this site and one kit in particular looked like it had what I am looking for so I asked for confirmation - he said he didn't have an etch for this. Strange!

Nice one Danny, I see a 'turnaround' diorama on the way.

I hadn't planned on joining the chopper GB, but saw this in Modelzone, reduced from £12.99 to £3.75. You know what happened next...

I was also tempted by the Italeri Falklands duo (Sea Harrier and Wessex) for £11.99, but SWMBO would not have approved.
