i had been thinking of getting one of them but have never got around to it,

Im scared i will buy it and head butt it to much and it will just turn into another thing to build dust up on, o_O

So the Supacat was on airfix's last chance to buy at 8.99, it was a steal! So then I had to invest some of the savings in a Tiffy too, what;s the point of saving if you don't then spend the savings on something extra? Note, this argument only ever applies to stash and never ever to "I saved £25 on this top, so I bought another two for £75".

When I was a boy I had the annual of this and it stated in there it was over a mile long how much over I don't know but it's 17 inches long :)

Trying out this I've just purchased 'Cyano Gell' as it's supposed to make it easier to fit large pieces of PE.

I also found these cheap airbrushes £5.50 & £8.20. Probably no good but worth a play.

If no good will use as dust blowers to keep dust from settling too much on my toys.

Having to keep them in the bedroom between working on them, they tend to be a dust trap.

This came last week but Ive been cleaning it up and sticking it back together. It started off as this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metal-Games-Workshop-Bloodthirster-/221690838234?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=Do5d1xQsDavD5j4GzfKCcFL5UBA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Then to help with postage I agreed that the seller could seperate the bits. After cleaning in oven cleaner, repinning and sticking the joints it now looks like this

And with any luck its going to look like this when its finished (Or something not too distant LOL)

This is a first for me as normally I use an AB to prime it and then paint using brushes. With this one Im going to be doing a lot more AB work, mainly the reds in the bodies, the highlighting and then the black wings. Then Ill do the fine details with a brush.

He is roughly 12cm in all directions. His axe arm has been bent into a more realistic pose.

When Ive finished him Ill be splashing out the £70 for the new one that only came out this weekend. ITS HUGE!!!!

This is the collection "through the ages"

From left to right

1 - Slaves to Darkneess Bloodthirster; Greater Daemon of Khorne circa 1988

2 - The Bloodthirstercirca 1995 (Thats the one posted above, i.e. mine)

3 - 2015’s Plastic Bloodthirster (Hoping to be my next purchase

4 - Forgeworld Great Daemon of Khorne circa 2005. (Only about £150)

Update - If you look at teh picture of the second deamon then look at his axe. I measured ONLY the handle (With no blade) and its 5.5 cm. Hopefully that will put the rest into perspective. Also, because its a metal figure it weighs LOTS!!!

It can run off a battery moni , the guy in the shop gave me a 9volt battery connector for free ive just got to connect the wires and put some insulation tape around it and it's ready to go :)

thats good less wires to hide, than coming off the mains, and just have a switch, some were out off site,

but able to change the battle easy as well,so some thinking ;)

A couple of weeks ago I got the new Airfix Defiant, and it looks pretty good

I also have the old (1960?) kit, which had been stashed away for ages

I plan on making the new kit, and using that as a pattern to help make the old one, with any spares left over, and a couple of magazine articles. I also have an old Spitfire fuselage which I will take the nose off to improve the old kit

The new kit has two schemes with almost complete decal sheets for each, so I can make the day or night fighter; I just have to find a roundel or two

I don't suppose the old kit can be made as good as the new one, but I'd like to do it for my own interest.
