Went to local Model Train Shop this morning to get some chopped bark to create some rubble. Never used this before so it will be fun having a play.

Of course, I didn't want any kits but I thought I would see what they had and this caught my eye..... Sadly, it does not come with the figures but I am sure I have seen a set like it somewhere.

Also arrived in the post this morning from SK Miniatures, the Alpine GI figures I was after.

You get two heads per figure, identical apart from plain or net covered helmet. They do look nicely sculpted but painting them...... I don't know. I have been trying out a few techniques all week and watching YouTube videos but I still struggle to get them anywhere decent. I have to crack this though as it is seriously impeding my diorama options.

You probably cannot see it in the pic below as I cannot focus close enough but this chap has a cigarette hanging out the corner of his mouth as per the box art

Ah the joys of having a local shop Graham! I'm restricted to Hobbycraft :(

You could look out for the Dragon 'Auctung Jabo' figure set for your Flak/Bergepanther although it doesn't have any seated crew figures.

Or the Tamiya set that goes with their halftrack 20mm quad. They have winter clothes on, so maybe a snowy scene?

Being mainly boats and ships, my haul might not be of much interest....

I've been searching for the 1/144 Atlantic Version U. Boat for some time. Likewise the Attack Transport ship.

I also wanted a cheap Japanese war plane as I'm planning a Kamikaze Dio.

Probably the best find of the day was the three U.S Marine figures in 1/48.(bottom right) I was beginning to despair of ever finding any for my Swift boat diorama, but I spotted these.

All at bargain prices....

substantial haul John !! I didnt see the 1/32 Hawk at our meet up , it must have been a later purchase ,whatever I really like it. I like the fw 190 too , although i know you got more Flak than a lancaster over Berlin for this one! With a bit (lot ) of work it can make a nice model. cheers tony

bargain of the day for me was the ANT 5 for £3 , lovely little kit but the instructions are a bit incomprehensible! The Eduard kits were great value too , the MiG 15 weekend for £7 was a steal and its the new boxing with the fabric seatbelts too. cheers tony
