Ordered this yesterday afternoon from John at Scale Model Shop and it arrived at 8:45 this morning

Bit of an odd one as I think it is designed to be built without painting. The body shell is classed as being pre painted. This didn't bother me until I realised that the glass section is glued in:mad:. However after some nerve wracking playing about, I managed to get the glass out with just one tiny crack that will not show. The bonus is that the glass is quite nicely pre painted so that will save me a job.

Oddly, the separate bonnet (hood) is a very slightly different shade to the body but not that you would notice if you were not looking. No matter as I will be re painting it.

The engine is basic but nicely detailed as is the interior, in fact the interior looks very nice. Wheels are not bad at all but are chrome plated so it's out with the bleach again. I fancy it with matt black wheels but I will see later. Oddly, it comes with steel rod for the axels.

First look, it is quite a nice looking kit, a bargain for the price:)

Does this constitute a 'muscle car'?

It's got lots of muscle so you'll be alright for the group build I feel. Looks great as it is but don't blame you for repainting it as that's half the fun "sometimes" isn't it ;). Look forward to the build good luck cheers John

Painting is all the fun for me with these kits John. Might be a bit too late to join in the group build as it ends next month. I was mainly asking because I know nothing about cars and the terminology of them lol

It'll be built but not built up, and it's not 1/144 scale it's 1/6 scale but in 1/24 scale hehehe.
I have an idea you are going to do the thing I have considered a few times. A diorama of a RC model with 'pilot'....

You've hit the nail on the head Ian. Had the idea a good few years back but never got around to it, thought it would be fun. It'll go in the back of the Ford Transit, should look good when it's finished.

Have fun, John

Just got this from John in the SMShop ( Thanks John ) for the Civilian aircraft GB later in the year, with some goodies.

Looking at the attendance so far to the "official" GB's they might just slide of the program next year and just have the member suggested GB's...
Nice Concord that built one many years ago.
