Nice kits Tommy I especially like the Stalin I'll have to get one myself but I've not seen many about.

Thanks John, I've been after one for a very long time, and as you say, you don't tend to see many of them about, that's why when this popped up, I made sure I got it;)

Thanks Patrick, I've only just joined World of Tanks, so I'll watch out for them ;)

Well if you want any tips, feel free to ask. I'm by no means a great player (hand eye coordination suffers in one's 6th decade!), but I enjoy having a bash!

Got this yesterday, as I'm selling all of my 1/24 & 1/25 car kits and plane kits due to lack of display space.....

Just £5.99 on ebay UK.

Arrived today, and in this day and age of manufacturers producing kits with 47 zillion parts in the mistaken belief that we like them more, check this one out:

How about this? No wing/fuselage joints or wing/nacelle joints and no boom alignment problems. The seam between top and bottom halves is practically invisible when dry fit so should be a piece of cake to clean up. OK, you can't position flaps or ailerons, but I personally wouldn't consider that to be any sort of deal breaker.

One-piece rudders.

One-piece rockets with just a tiny mould seam to clean up. No gaps to fill or fins to align.

One-piece engine covers so no seams apart from the vertical one joining them to the nacelles.

My pics don't show it, but panel lines and rivet detail are there and finely recessed. The cockpit interior has separate sidewalls and looks busy - although there are no seat belts. A decal is provided for the IP.

I can't speak for the accuracy of the size and shape, but it sure looks like a P-38 to me.

This won't be a kit for the super modellers out there who like lots and lots of fiddly details, but to me it looks just fine. So fine in fact, it's jumped its way to the very top of my 'to do' list once I've finished the GBs I've got on the go.

There's a build video (I couldn't find the link to part one - the OOB review - even though I saw it the other day):

For these:

Just making sure I've got plenty to do when I get back into retirement on June 8th. Methinks I'd better slow down on the buying or I'll have no pennies left to do anything else but build the stash!

Lovely kits dave , i always like the look of biplanes but the rigging still makes them a very infrequent subject on my bench

Some nice kits there Dave.
I've always fancied doing a Wingnut wings biplane but the cost puts me off.

Thanks guys.

I can't remember ever having built a biplane, but getting the wings right and the rigging have put me off. The jig should help with the wings and I've seen a few alternate methods for the rigging. Hopefully one or more methods will work for me but we'll have to see.

my friendly postman dropped of these,s two yesterday,
for upcoming dio,builds,
which in all, will be 3 dio,s all of the same subject,:D

I have been pondering getting this kit since it came out and finally got one while in my LMS. It is streets ahead of all previous Airfix Seakings but still has its deficiencies - lack of rotor head detail, the engine cowling is a bit sparse and so is the EAPS/SNIPS filter. But I was pleased to see that a door mounted jimpy and pintle is included, I see an RAF Aldergrove machine being built.
