Just thought i would share this one with you, managed to get the winning bid in on Flea Bay last night using ezsniper. Got it for £20 + postage. Incidentally just got a letter from the very same man whose tank is depicted!

Enjoy, I am looking forward to building this one as well as the Tasca posted earlier!

Scott ! You have really gotten the rail gun bug haven't you. Should be fun watching that go together.Hi Ian i have to admit iam considering the 1/35 Dora in a few months although don't know where iam going to put it.

scott.
My local pusher sent me a mail the other week advising me that he will be taking it in as a special order item.... 'only £500' ....

I also found one in our version of the "Exchange and Mart" Den Blå Avis. Apperently he only wants £250, opened it looked at it and thought no way! Shame he will only sell collect as at 20 kilo it would cost a fortune to post!

The latest to hit my stash is this M3 Grant "El-Alamein" from Academy, now then, before you lot start shouting at me about the tank crew i have a plan. The figures are from Miniart and are great but they would be better suited for europe, well, deep in my stash i have some Commonwealth AFV crew from Master Box and it has someome named Bernard Montgomery in this box too. So the Miniart figures will be used for something else and i can use Monty with this one.

When the postie came to the door i wondered what i'd ordered as it's a big box, inside is full too. As i was looking it's got a interior so for the price of £26+P&P you get a lot for your money, if you don't mind using the figures for something else then i would recommend it.

Have fun, John

PS. i've just had a look and the Academy M3 without crew and it's about £24 so you're getting the figures for two quid, not bad then.

YES! I can actually post in this thread again. My wife has a new job which has freed up my account to be used by me again to buy whatever i want to lol. So......

Got these two kits off ebay :)

This was to replace the JV44 kit i was building in the FW190 GB before it got trashed by the leaking pipe in the roof. Well chuffed

And this is to go along with the same kit i already have but the cockpit control panels were missing. So i'll get a resin cockpit for that at some point

Nice looking kits going into stashes here. Richy, what are those Trumpy figures like? I have a USMC Amtrack, the AAVP-7A1 w/EAAK from the forum shop and I need some figures to go with it to show scale, it is huge. I have the MasterBox Iraq troops but is the crew figures I am most interested in, the foot sloggers can join the MB ones.

Hi Ian , not sure how old this kit is but the sprues that hold the model parts are quite thick and heavy and their is a little flash here and there ,thats the downside on the upside the detail is nice with seperate hands and boots heads etc , all webbing weapons are seperate , you also get 2 sheets of decals one desert and one camo green to put on the uniforms if wanted ( I rather paint them myself tbh ) overall not a bad kit mate but if I wanted just the AV figures I would get resin ones which would not cost much more than the £13 paid for these

hope this has helped

Well having been good for so long, I had a mad moment in preparation for the coming Group Build.

I could not choose between the leopard and Phz2000 so I got them both!

The Faun and Phz2000 will be going in the GB. The Leopard will be waiting for some brass, and very possibly the return of my sanity after building those tracks for the PhZ!!

Just arrived from Cyber- Hobby and Ebay the following two kits. The Opel Blitz came from the aforementioned company and the Tiger 1 came from a seller in China called sell_model on Ebay. The cost including shipping was less than the kit would be to buy alone here in the UK.

The Opel Blitz has four bags of Celophane wrapped plastic markings for 6 vehicles all Eastern Front, two unknown units and 4 SS Panzer Grenadier Regiments if my memory serves me correctly, it is a few days since I looked at the destructions. It also has phot etched parts and laser cut masks for the clear plastic included.

The Tiger 1 E has bags of Celophane, 9 or 10 if I remember rightly. Photo etched parts and even a small spring to attach to the barrel inside the mantel to give the recoil effect. It has the DS tracks which look very well molded and markings for 6 tanks Four Normandy, One Italy and one Poland, these are SS Tanks other than the Italy front one, but I may be wrong, I will have to check :emo6:. This is the zimmerit molded version and this looks extremely well proportioned to the vehicle body and parts where it is shown. Of course with the after market decals you can always build the mount of the ubiquitous Michael Wittmann with either 200 or 007(his last mount).

For your perusal fellow modellers!

Andy

I have to say i do like the M60 with the reactive armour it looks cool.

scott

Nice one Scott, I can see a bit of an argument between a 6x6 and a 15cwt: Hey! back-up! No you back up....."

I have the Leopard in my stash. going to wait a bit with that one and get some brass for it. Have a look at Eduard web site Andy, I think they do the Armour you are talking of.

Just arrived the other day, like Scott I don't normally build modern stuff, but read an article in Scale MM International and thought I would have a crack at thisView attachment 26959

Like the look of this and may try and find some anti heat armour that the Canadians have slung around their Leopard 2's

Andy
Andy love the leopard very nice indeed.
