Thought I would take another try at one of these 1/48 British S.E.5A WWI Aircraft. This kit came out of a Value Pack offered by Lindbergh a few years back. I’m using a different color of paint than I did on my first try at one of these. I have better out look on it also. This is what I got done so far.430696FE-BE3A-450C-9C76-BD6AD897CBEB.jpeg17D0AD14-A156-43FD-AAF9-BCC1B3E282BF.jpeg5EC68F1C-7BA7-4C95-8796-532BB2398A2B.jpegE1CCBDA0-8643-47B2-AC50-85D6EAF01D78.jpeg

Nice start Lee, hope this one goes well....don't remember this being available in 1/48 scale....I thought they were all 1/72 scale when I was a kid....funny how you remember things differently after so many years have gone by. Keep at it pard. Rick H.

Not a lot of parts there, looking like a relaxed build :thumb2:
Fairly sure that the 'Stearman' was used as a trainer for the RAF pilots who came over for training during WWII as well.

Rick. The original can out in 1958. It was Yellow on the box art I have one on the way from Sleezbay. Thanks for stopping by and the nice complement.

Gerry. Yes it looks relaxing until I get to the Rigging thenwe’ll see how “Relaxed” I am. Thanks for looking in don’t know if Rick brought any Goodies or not.

Tonight I built and painted the inside framing work for Cockpit added the instrument panel and done a little rigging on the frame work. I also painted the leather around the Cockpit. That’s it for tonight.

Hi Lee
Another older, unpromising kit. You are good at getting the best out of kits like this. Already off to a nice start.

Jim. Thanks for the complement. I’m going to see what I can do with this one. To me I get more satisfaction out of improving a older kit that buying one with your homework already done. Thanks for stopping by.

Sorry guys no updates last night but I did get a few more pieces painted and more test fits. Maybe tonight I’ll have a update for you.

Good things come to those that wait Lee, and we will wait for those good things!

I'm still waiting on Allen......that bum never shows up when there's work to be done! ;) Rick H.

Making good progress on this Lee. Will you be doing the rigging on this one? Rick H. :smiling3:

Rick. Thanks for the complement. I’m undecided about the rigging but I am going to try it.
